I'm coming off 9 months of BFL where I had moderate results - went from 212 to 170, 40% BF to current 29% BF. (I'm female, 30, 5'6").

I'm not trying to win any competitions like you guys, just want to be hot stuff for my hubbie... thinking 20% BF. I'm also a working mom so don't have time for anything excessive.

I've read TPs articles on carb cycling and started that this week to change things up. I haven't done any cardio this week (ACK), because his article is giving me an excuse not to. smile.gif However, I have upped the intensity of my lifting and have sore butt to show for it.

I WILL MISS MY FREE DAY, when I eat like a maniac and love it. Any former BFLers on here?

I do think I need to do SOME cardio at least, what's the point of looking good if you can't run up a flight of stairs because you're in bad shape cardiovascularly?

On protein - is Designer Whey good or bad stuff? Like the taste, want opinion on the quality... I hate the EAS precision protein taste.

Good luck on your new Carb Cycling!

So far I am loving it, I have been on it for lil over 2 weeks started at 271 pounds and as of today I am at 259.5 Pounds blink.gif

And what I notice most isnt really the body weight loss. But the fact I can actually see my muscles growing. I KNOW I am gaining lean muscle hehe I am going to get some calipers this weekend to add the stats weekly for my BF% just cause im curious.

What I love the most about it is you dont feel like you are actually dieting (at least I dont hehe) The No Carb days are very easy to get through for me because I know less than 24hrs latter that bowl of cherrios, wholewheat bread and brown rice is just around the corner tongue.gif

Actually having been on this diet I having one helluva time meeting my requared Carbs heh 260 grams of Carbs seem an impossible job for me some days I just dont crave em that much.

Any way, I am not very knowledgable in all this stuff so I will leave all the real answers to the pro's that frequent these boards.

I keep a journal in the Training Log area if you are interested in seeing what my diet looks like I am pretty anal about keeping track of every single thing I eat hehe.

ya that was my biggest problem the high carb days i could not get in 2.5 grams per pound of carbs only in 4 meals on the high carb days. i was bulking on it going high, high, low high , high, low , no.
It was hard if I could of got all 6 meals to get the carbs for the high carb day it would of been ok but it is only 4 meals. I actually lost weight on it instead of gain weight lol
