I have done BFL for 9 months (went from 40% BF to 29% BF) and consider fitness/nutrition research a hobby.... I'm now looking into more advanced methods like periodization, carb cycling, etc to go from 29% BF to 20% BF. I am very knowledgeable compared to the average joe, and even compared to your above-average Joe. But I'm constantly blown away by the people on this site.

Where did you guys learn all this stuff? What would you recommend as the primary resources for a working mom with limited time? Like, if you had to recommend one or two ultimate resources (mags, sites, etc) for fitness/nutrition info, with a lean towards body building (but not specifically for a competitor), what would you recommend?

This is the NUMBER ONE place in the world to come learn if you wish to know about fitness, diet, sports physiology, ergogenics....any and everything "human performance"

Honestly....I could see the changes in my body the more time I spent on the board.

But aside from our own individual passions for what ever area we are involved in, most of us(long standing members) use the knowledge we gain here in our professional realm also.

I am, or in reality, used to be a persoanl trainer/fitness consultant.......but now I just focus on my career as a competative fighter and learning martial arts, and the things I learn on here allow me to stay healthy and above the competition as far as strength, health, and over all fitness level.

question everything and rather than wait for someones answer to a thread your interested in, do your own research to backup or refute what others say.

We aren't all physiology or nutrition majors in college (or doctors) however we do have access to the same resources (studies)

Plus a healthy dose of experience between weight lifting, cutting, bulking and supplementation.

This forum tends to focus mostly on supplementation (or maybe these are just the boards that I'm reading *hahah*) but there are many healthy/fitness forums on the web that stress different things, anabolics, powerlifting, bodybuilding, dieting, etc...
I started out at wannabebig.com 's forums and have started here thanks to some good feedback I received over there on Avant products.
