I am thinking of trying B5 for regualar acne from bodybuilding. I have been reading up on it and since most of its popularity is based on user feedback, I thought I would ask here. I know most of the people here use b5 for AAS cycles but does anyone use it off cycle.

Some basic questions would be the:
your effective dose for you since most say in the 2-10g range?
Is there a b5 tolerance meaning to keep desired results will the dosage need to be increased?
If desired results are met can you stay on it for a continuous amount of time?

Lack of pantothenic acid in the diet is rare, so there is no recommended daily intake for it. But for a normal daily intakes for adults, its about 4-7 mg's.

I would guess you could try an AAS dose to see if it even helps and then taper down greatly.

1 Tsp which is something like ~2 grams in a glass of OJ seems to work for me on M1T and in the OJ its tasteless

I am not asking on an AAS cycle. From bodybuilding alone I get some ance on my forehead and nothing really seems to work. Has anyone tried b5 just for that purpose.

Yes. i lift, i get acne. I don't, and i'm as smooth as a baby's ass. I know because when i periodize frequency the acne goes right along with it.

So I have been on B5 7g per day for a while (out of 500g I only have about 100g left so that's what a couple months?). It hasn't worked very well. I have found a relationship between dosing it and other B vitamins (such as biotin) at different times. I am wondering myself if anyone knows what the proper dosing schedule should be. It seems to work best when I take a whole assload of b5 alone without biotin. Stuff is not doing what it's supposed to though. I have officially cut out all of my supps except sesathin and starting with b5 and biotin and figuring this out. Ideas?

The Shade- to answer one of your questions it appears anecdotally that there is a loading time where you are best off using a higher dosage (7-15g/day) and then once you see effective results you would be able to decrease until you maintain results, as low as 2-3g/day.

I have a new theory: that i'm allergic to whey. I know i'm allergic to milk. I'm going with soy for a while- tah hell with it. Hopefully that is it. There's no way i can break out this badly just from squatting.

What's your diet? How many showers per day are you taking? Are you using laundry detergent with perfumes?

That regime is BS for me. They say to use 2.5% benzyl when the cream i had had 10% benzyl. Any how good news the B5 is working very fast. My skin must have had a lot of bacteria since I used to have a pretty good amount of ance and those annyoing white heads. Now I do not get any white heads and most of my pimples and redness are all gone. I am surprised it worked so fast and only with a 2 gram dose.

so with a 2g dose of B5 youve managed to clear up your face?

In only a week, I have no redness and even after working out my face does not get irratated at all. After a weeks use I would say my face is now about 90% clear.

Does that include pimples and all that good stuff? Cuz lately I've had terrible acne. Sounds good though. Maybe I'm dumb but where can you get B5?

Right at 1fast400. I caps I used are from NOW b5 caps.

Those are it and seem to work quite well for me considering people go as high as 10 grams. My case is that my family has oily skin and sweat a lot from little activity. Working out probably adds to the problem but b5 seems to work great on that problem for me.

I don't know if this is just in my head but now when I sweat for some reason my sweat feels cleaner and when I sweat I don't feel as dirty as I used to.

Thanks. Ya I oily skin and sweat bad even by doing nothing when its hot. Ill let you know how it goes to see if this is effective with more then one person.

Well I still have a little now but much less then before. I have been on it for 1.5 wks but to clear the rest should I wait it out or increase dosage?

You should wait it out till you've been on it for one month, then raise it or lower it as you feel it . Your taking B-5 the pathogenic acid right? Not B-50?

went through 600g so far and i upped to 20g per day for this week to see what will happen.

WOW you are taking a high ass dose. 2g worked but when I added 3 it cleared a little more. Since this is happening should I upp to like 5 grams for a week and then taper down? Does b5 work over time at the same dose or is it just maintaining it now. Will a higher dose be needed to clear the remaining?

Also is there any type of supp that reduces sweat? B5 helps take away the bacteria from the sweat but when you are sweating pools, even b5 has limits. Today was humid but when I was in class it took around 6 napkins and 15 minutes of sitting perfectly still to stop my sweat while everyone is fine. I feel like if the sun is shining on me for 30 seconds that I will start to sweat hard. Is there anything that would fix this problem?

B5 will work gradually; 5grams is a good loading dose, with 2-3grams being a fine maintenance one.

Though sweating sucks, it's really not healthy to attempt to stop its occurance; the body is doing it for a reason.

I am confused, the topic of disucssion is b-5, bu the link you guys gave to 1fast is to b-50 (a blend of b vitamins). Which is the one you used, shade?

At the time I thought he meant B-50 but found out while looking around that its Pantothenic acid.

Well should I do a loading dose or will 3 grams be fine to clear the rest? Is there a need to load in order for it to clear it 100%?
