So heres the case. My father has duscular pain accompanied by pain in ligaments and some joints. I want to supplement him with cissus from bulnutrition 1.5g a day and down to 1g a day when I see improvements.
He dosent practice any sport whatsoever, has slight overweight (slight), is hypotense (has been for years and is treated medically for that purpose), moderate type II insulin resistance.
Can I give him cissus. I am specially concerned whether the cissus will at all alter his blood preasure.
Thanks a lot

I have found little change in terms of my own... I've always been hypertensive.

Is there any reason to suspect it would raise blood pressure? Has anyone reported this side effect?

Bump on the BP question. I don't have high BP but I could get that way pretty easy.

I can't think of why it would. In the few human studies, hemodynamics seem improved and there is no report of hypertension as a side effect.
Of course, there is plenty we don't know about cissus so, monitoring of BP if its an issue would seem wise.

AS FAR AS GIVING TO AN ELDERLY PERSON; HOW LONG DO YOU THINK IT SHOULD BE TAKEN BY SOMEONE WHO IS AROUD 50 AND HAS SOME -NOT SEVERE- JOINT ISSUES?
