Full Version: Creatine - very high doses?

Hey dudes. I haven't ever had any effects from CM or CEE, and I have a few 100g of CEE left. I haven't used it for months.

I used 5-10g per day, and got nothing. Do you think it is worth me taking increasing doses until I run out? Just add 5g every day? 5,10,15,20,25...

Or if its a pointless idea, I will just sell it to a friend or something.

When I took CM I went through 250g, I think, at about 5g/day at first and then increasing.. probably a month in total

CEE I used at 5g/day for a few weeks.

That might not be long enough for weight gain. Try for at least six weeks.

But you should be seeing better pumps and endurance, at least, in the first few weeks. You don't even get that?

well I rarely use above 5 reps actually, and my rest-periods are typically 5 minutes. So I'm not going to pumped either way. I certainly didn't gain weight during the time, and I didn't notice anything like feeling more enduring and having a higher work capacity.

If I try the CEE for a while again, how long should I wait? What should I actually look out for? If I just don't respond to it, I'd rather sell it on and recover some of my money, rather than waste it on me.

Well you should be seeing strength increases, too. Strange.

If you use it again, just keep an eye out for faster recovery, better endurance, more strength, weight gain, etc. Give it time to work.

Timing might be an issue too. Taking immediately before, and right after workouts with some simple carbs should have the desired effect. When doing this I think I was taking at least 15 grams/day, maybe 20 sometimes. 10 around workouts and two other doses throughout the day.

Wouldn't you have saturated pretty quickly at that rate? Once you had done this for a week or so, do you think you were getting any more from this dosing scheme than say, 5g/day?

Maybe, but I think there are benefits from taking pre/post that you can't see from just standard loading. This is especially true (for me anyway) when you throw some carbs and taurine in the mix.

Absolutely. I think the timing around the workout gave a level of volumization you wouldn't see with standard loading. Don't know if that's still in vogue around here, but it made a difference to me.

The effects are relatively subtle to begin with. It doesn't need to present itself very obviously (like, let's say, the effects of a stimulant) to be working. 5g/day is good.
