A little about me:

I'm 27 and I will be competing for the first time in NPC figure in 7 weeks. I was interested in logging this product to aid in losing pesky fat in my hips and hams - don't you just love estrogen? Raspberry ketones seem to be the newest and best ingredient in fat burning compounds, and it was my understanding that there shouldn't be any discomfort in this newest formula from Avant. I have always been a bit skeptical about topical solutions and have never used one in the past.

My current cut uses a cyclical carbohydrate approach and my other supplements are as follows:

Opti-Women Multi
E-bol
Custom bcaa/glutamine peptide/citrulline malate blend from TP
EC
Dicana
Pro Carnosine
Green Mag
Lean Dreams
Protein powders, not often. I prefer whole foods while cutting.

The pictures were taken this morning.

Nice, but I'm having a really hard timing finding where this "pesky fat" that you speak of is located.

Lol, I appreciate the compliment, but my upper body is significantly leaner than my lower. I need to dig some ham definition out and be sure that there's no more jiggle when I walk across that stage!

I applied Lipoderm-rk 2x today. I used it at the topmost part of my hams, directly below the glutes from inner thigh to below the hip. My first impressions were positive; although I've smelled more pleasant odors, there was no buring sensation at all. It was more of a gentle tingling, like a muted Tiger Balm feeling.

I intend to apply my first dose after my morning shower and my second dose will always be before bed.

Alright, I gotta know (if you don't mind)... what does the tattoo running down your spine mean/say?

BTW, you look great and good luck at the competition, I'm sure youll dominate
Kimbo
You look pretty lean. Looking forward to seeing how it works out for you.

I'd also like to know what the back tat means - it's really cool looking.
dvsness
The tattoo on my spine is actually a chain of tiny scorpions. Luckily, I have some Colortration in case my Jan Tana airbrush kit isn't sufficient for covering my ink on show day. I love tattoos, but covering them may prove to be a big pain in tha ass.

Training/nutrition details:

Monday - arms/calves - low carb
Tuesday - chest/abs/cardio - no carb
Wednesday - delts/calves - high carb
Thursday - back/abs/cardio - low carb
Friday - off - no carb
Saturday - legs/cardio - high carb
Sunday - delts/abs - low carb

I tend to do 8-12 reps per set while cutting, with the additional random drop set thrown in. I love pyramids, supersets and giant sets on larger muscle groups.

My calories are in the 1000-1700 range depending on the day. No carbs days are usually around 20 carbs or less, low 100 or less and high in the ballpark of 200.
GeorgeHavener
Those tattoos kickass. I just got wings, myself.
Davey Havok, anyone?

Anyway, looking foward to seeing how this "non-burning" lipoderm mix works out. Thanks.
D Sade
Subscribed. I agree with everyone else...you already look great. Looking forward to following along.
dinoiii
Seeing how the RPN boys dragged me here...I thought I would check and see what other things were going on and low and behold - look what I find.

Looking phenomenal as assumed.

lol - the tattoos were what prompted my initial comments to you over at that other joint.

Will follow from afar or catch you elsewhere.

My carbs were actually lower than I’d anticipated, but that’s fine since I had a serious carb up Saturday night and I had a high carb day yesterday which is typically low. It’s crazy how much I missed oats during my test run of load/depletion last week.

I applied Lipderm-rk after my morning shower and after my post-workout shower.

I was wondering if it's ok to apply my lotion over it, or how log I should wait to do so. I have just been avoiding the applied areas for now.

I recall Par mentioning a while back to wait 1-2 hours after application for any lotions, etc.

All is well. I have discovered Trident White in Pina Colada. It was love at first chew.

I applied Lipoderm-rk after my morning shower and after my post-workout shower.

I had a cut on my thumb of which I was previously unaware. I got some L-rk in it when applying. I am very aware of said cut now. It BURNED!!!!! Be very careful of cuts/scrapes, folks. wacko.gif

Marc McDougal
Vanessa-

Looking forward to seeing your results. The effect of the Lipoderm-RK on someone lean trying to get really lean interests me more than someone fat trying to get less fat...I've had great success with Lipoderm Ultra+Clen in the past, so I'm considering this combo.

A couple of things:

Your right shoulder is elevated, which could cause a problem down the road if it hasn't already. Stretching the right trap, left lat, and strengthening the right teres minor should help this. If you sleep with your right shoulder elevated, try to switch it up.
Check this out for more info on fixing postural alignment: Click it

This can manifest itself as a problem in the left hip over time due to disruption in neural patterns, so its worth fixing especially since you're competing.

QUOTE
Hybrid Calve Training
Toes in to hit outer calves

Medial rotation at the ankle (pointing toes in) won't do nearly as much for changing recruitment patterns in the calf as changing the width of the stance and plantarflexing onto the pinky side of the foot during the concentric phase.

Basically, changing the direction your toes point won't do much good. Use a very narrow stance and keep the weight pinky-toe side as you stand up.

QUOTE
I included pullovers for the first time in a while. I think they’re a good finishing movement and bring up the serratus nicely.

Pullovers only recruit the serratus anterior in a static contraction to stabilize the shoulder joint so the lats can fire properly. This is a great lat exercise, but it won't do anything for your serratus. There's plenty of exercises that hit the serratus effectively, but this isn't one of them. To name a few: Push ups with a plus (hands on a swiss ball to increase difficulty), serratus crunches, overhead bb press lockouts (set the pins at 90 degrees of elbow flexion).

Good luck, looking forward to seeing progress.
dvsness
Thanks for all that info and you interest, Marc. I have congenital scoliosis and that is the main reason for my uneven shoulders. I wore a brace as a child and it is much improved now, but far from perfect. I will definitely try your suggestion for calve training, too.

Sorry I haven't updated in a few days. I just returned from Ohio and the AC adn have been in bed with a migraine most of today. My training, supplementation and diet were on point while I was away; we stayed at Homewood Suites so I had a full kitchen and could prep all my meals. When we were taken out to dinner by some supp companies, it was always Japanese food and I always ordered sashimi. Lipoderm-rk was applied as planned.
dvsness
Sadly, it seems to have been a week since I properly updated, as it is chest day again. I had a great time at the AC, though!
I have also decided to switch my split a little bit:

Wednesday - legs

I hadn’t been grocery shopping since I got home from Ohio, but I had just enough food to make it through the day. I stopped at the butcher and the fruitstand on my way home from work and I will be up late cooking. No rest for the dieting, *sigh*.

I applied Lipoderm-rk after my morning shower and after my post-workout shower.

I am beginning to really enjoy the tingle of the Lipderm. I almost miss it when it subsides. I will have another weigh in and measurements on Saturday.
dvsness
It took me forever to get to the gym because I forgot I had to shovel my car out and was bs-ing around the house for too long. Winter is evil and I truly long for some warmer weather. I have more energy and drive when it’s pleasant out. At least we’ll change the clocks this weekend so it’ll be light out on my way home from work. That should help my mood a little.

Steamed sweet potatoes rule my world. I made them yesterday to eat today, but it was no carb day yesterday and very hard not to lick the fork I used to mash them. They were heaven today - I guess absence really does make the heart grow fonder, eh?

I applied Lipoderm-rk after my morning shower and after my post-workout shower.

I am not noticing any difference visually at this point, but I am a harsh critic of myself. We'll see what the measurements say this weekend.

Hmmm. At the very least the diuretic effects get peoples mojo going in the early stages. I suppose you've reached maximal balance between being lean, dry and sexy. tongue.gif

More seriously though, I hope for the best in this scenario and expect nothing but glaring improvements around the corner.

Unfortunately, my gym only has one stepmill and it’s broken. The stepmill is definitely my favorite piece of cardio equipment, so I am not too happy about that. At least tomorrow is my off day; maybe it will be repaired by my return on Saturday.

I am starting to have mixed feelings about my weight. I don’t like being this light. The wind actually moved me the other day when I was waiting on the train platform and that was a seriously shitty feeling. However, I do like being this lean. My vascularity in the gym tonight was ridiculous - I appeared to have a roadmap from my delts to my fingers. I could have easily shot an ad for *insert your pump supplement of choice here*.

Just a suggestion based on my own experience, but I'm not sure how efficacious LU is on high carb days - you might be better served double dosing on the previous no carb day perhaps?

I'd echo this, but it really is dependent on your energetic states. If your Carb ups are hypocaloric, keep up the dosing protocol. Cease if hypercaloric, however.

I will keep dosing as usual, then. I do not have any hypercaloric days. I have high carb days 2x/week (if you consider 200 high, lol) but even those days are not at, let alone above, maintenance.

Same old, same old… steady as she goes. I am learning to love hard boiled eggs. On my carb days, I have protein powder in my oats which I really love. On my no carb days, I still want to eat my powder with a spoon because it makes it seem more like food - I get enough water and I don’t want to drink a meal while dieting. So if you see that I have Designer Sustain, Prolab Protein Component or ISS Micellar Matrix alone, I am just adding a small amount of water and chilling it. This makes a great pudding/pb consistancy because of the cassein and really helps with cravings.

I applied Lipoderm-rk after my morning shower and before bed.

The L-rk seems to be a little thinner in texture than it was in the beginning of the bottle. I always shake it before applying, so I'm not sure why this could be.

Probably just some uneven distribution of the carbomer in the solution - I tend to have big globs of it left at the end of each bottle.

I was given one each of the new flavors of MM n Oats, so I figure I’ll use them on my low days for a flavoring change of pace. Not bad, but not great. I'm going to miss the one serving of sweet protein powder. The end of supps is near...

I applied Lipoderm-rk after my morning shower and after my post-workout shower.

This has been my first real observance of change - there is no doubt in my mind that the fat on the outer are is less dense/thick. I make a habit of pinching it and there is officially less to pinch now!!!!! I have not noticed a change in the inner part yet.

Is there a way I can order another bottle of the rk version even though it's not released? I think I'm going to run out before I'm prepared to stop using it...

Plyometrics were a pretty new experience for me. I need to tighten up my lower body a bit so I’m giving this a whirl as advised by my boyfriend. I took out my 2nd delt day and replaced it with this type of training; it is important to grasp what your weaknesses are and adapt to banish them!

My diet is treating me well. I don’t feel flat despite discontinuing E-bol and my abs are coming in nicely.

I applied Lipoderm-rk after my morning shower and after my post-workout shower.

It definitely wasn't my imagination yesterday - my outer hip area is leaner, no doubt. Progress!!!

Bump to this question:

Pick up a bottle of normal Lipo-Ultra and get some RK powder to add in yourself (2-4g).

#5 (or anyone from Avant still reading this)- the particles in that RK powder you linked to are small enough to be used transdermally? Also, do you think it will burn since it will essentially be the Ultra formula plus RK, rather than the RK version?

The RK powder from NP is the same stuff that was added to Lipo, so it should be fine.

I believe Lipo-RK is Lipo Ultra + RK's (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

The trial version is LipoUltra + RK. I am pushing for this to be the final formula as well, but then again it is not ultimately my product to decide.

Of course we are still reading this. You are doing a great job in your training, and with your log....I am very anxious to see pictures (other than the ones you sent me in private...raoowwwrr).

The particles dissolve into the Lipoderm, so you cannot go by dry particle size. The Molecular Weight is plenty low enough to be absorbed transdermally.

It was good to hear from some of the members of my gym that I am looking different each time they see me. It’s easy to lose perspective since I see myself all day so the reactions of those who only come into contact with me on occasion are probably more accurate on my progress than I am at this point.

Pics tomorrow, I promise! And I am ordering Lipoderm Ultra and the RK from NP. Thanks for the help. I will continue the log with the product I purchase and run it until right before my show, probably. I'll have to discontinue use a couple of days before applying my Jan Tana, probably.

On another note, why don't other forums use this editor? It's much better.

Not any moreso than usual - I sleep for shit regardless. I took MRM RelaxAll and ALRI Lean Dreams last night, and take Prolab REM on occasion as well. I am up for quite a while between my evening application and bedtime regardless, though, which may be why I haven't noticed a difference in sleeping patterns.

This is precisely the same workout as last week. I guess the work I would use to describe plyometrics is “fine.” I love lifting; there is a sense of accomplishment, like I’ve won something. Even cardio, which I don’t enjoy much, ellicits a notion of relief when completed. This type of training, however, just… is. I know it’s good for my goals and my body needs it, but I certainly don’t look forward to it like some other training days.

Today was the last day of tuna and light mayo. I ran out and I’m getting rid of processed foods anyway, so no need to purchase more for a while. The tuna/may/Carb Component mixture was pretty good, though; I guess it was a fish cake of sorts. Too bad I waited so long to try that!

The deal of the day was $2.79/lb for tilapia, so I bet you can guess what’ll be in tuna’s place tomorrow!
