Would salvia miltiorrhiza block the absorption of healthy fats (e.g. fish oil, Sesalean)?

salvia doesnt block the absorption of fats. It cripples the process in which your liver makes diglycerides out of the fats you eat which would lead to storage if not halted.

Well, ok, guess I misstated that. Still though, fish oil still needs to be stored (incorporated into cell membranes) in order to be effective, right?

For the sake of accuracy, its triglycerides. Diglycerides can be reversed if necessary. For tris you need HSL.

All I knows is that salvia is a DGAT inhibitor. Whether that inhibits triglyceride formation or diglyceride formation I dunno, but it should not interfere with the use of fatty acids.

I speak with NO authority whatever here, but I can't imagine fish oil needs to be stored in fat cells for DHA to be utilized by cells for maintenance. That seems equivalent to saying that any nutrient that impacts cell health needs to be stored as fat before that can happen. Just because DHA is in fish oil doesn't necessarily mean that the fat itself needs to be stored as fat for the DHA to be useful.

But what the hell do I know...
