i've been following this forum for some time and just recently joined. i am still a newb and would like to get info on where to buy maltodextrin and dextrose "locally" i would rather not order from the mail via protein customizer,etc. i heard some mention of purchasing malto at breweries, but there are none on my island(oahu) i am aware of. the health food store i went to yesterday had no clue as to what these were. LOL, "is that like some sugar?"

any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

I'm in Australia, so I don't know anywhere local for you. I get mine from a home brewing store, but I also see them in supermarkets. Supermarkets here often have a brewing section which has these products, maybe you could try that...

Curious, why do you not want to buy over the internet?

supplement direct has a bigass tub of dextrose....1fast400 has dextrose for cheap but i coldnt find maltose(mike correct me if im wrong)

i got some maltodextrin and dextrose from a homebrew. the dex. was $1.50 a lb, and malto. was $2.95 for 8oz. the malto seemed high.

A few years ago, when I looked, I was able to find dextrose for 50 cents/lb and malto for $1, at 50 and probably 10 lbs each.
