This was unbelievable. Nobody, and I mean nobody, saw this coming. This easily beats Couture over Sylvia for upset of the century.

But you know, in hindsight, this was an X factor that nobody was talking about, really. St. Pierre has never really been hit hard in his previous fights, from what I can tell. His chin has never really been tested.

In other news, Koscheck put a stop to the Diego "Dirty" Sanchez train, thank God. Sanchez was so overhyped it was ridiculous. I mean, the guy is obviously a good fighter, but not championship material, IMO.

While Diego may not be championship caliber material at this point neither is Kos though everyone seems to think he now deserves a shot. And that fight was absolutely boring as well, maybe Kos learns his stand-up from Sylvia.

Congrats to Serra though, I didn't think he had much of a chance in the stand-up but he capitalized on opportunities. I'd like to see how he'd fare against Hughes.

Yeah, Kos could have exploded more than he did, obviously, but I don't think he's quite Tim Sylvia-boring.

But watching that fight, you really get a sense of how much better of an athlete Koscheck is than Sanchez. When I say I don't think Diego is championship material, I mean because of his lack of athleticism relative to the other fighters in the division like Kos and GSP. Sanchez has the skills to be champion, he just isn't athletic enough to beat Kos and GSP. Or Hughes. Kos could have done Praying Mantis style Kung-Fu in there and it wouldn't have mattered- he still would have won.

If he can learn to be a little more aggressive, I don't think anybody in the division can stop him.

I feel bad for GSP but what can you do eh? Congrats to Serra, he's the man for today, I say let him enjoy it! He won't hold that belt for long though.

GSP seemed a bit leaner and a bit flatter than usual this time though - wonder what's up with that?

Also - Kos vs. diego ... what a BORE. God I mean it.. Looks to me like despite all the posturing before the fight, each was scared to death of the other. Some might call it "respecting the opponent's strengths" but whatever man - they was chicken. I'm thinking that the ref should be given a big bullwhip to apply liberally to the backs of the fighters in the event of stand-up stalling or 5 minute 'feeling him out' sessions on the feet.

Ya know what I mean? "let's work guys or you're both gettin' a lickin' *snap*"
