I thought that the stand up was questionable at best. It really seemed to give a huge (unrealized) potential advantage to Cro Cop. The way his foot twisted under his weight was brutal to watch.
I was a bit dissapointed by the outcome of the CC fight. He didn't do much of anything.
I don't understand why a striker that has a disadvantage on the ground and in the cage would come into the fight, as SS stated above, without practicing in a cage.
The foot all twisted was messed up. I'm surprised nothing was broke. he seemed to be walking out fine, although with a slight limp.
I hope he can rebound from this and learn from these mistakes.
Also, the Arlovski/Werdum fight was a total snooze fest. It seems if AA can't get the KO in the 1st round or 2, he becomes really tentative to avoid losing. Werdum didn't do much of anything.
I've really wondered how AA's ground game is. Supposedly he is trained in Sambo, but he almost seems like a fish out of water on the ground. Look at Fedor, he's well versed in Sambo, and he'll stomp the shit out of anyone on the ground.
Bisping looked good. I often wonder if Elvis Sinosic realizes what his role has been made out to be. He's a name people recognize, and it's a good way to get a up and coming fighter some credibility with fans. He seems like he comes into the fight, will only fight so hard to put on a good show, and then let the other guy completely dominate him.
I feel the same was done back when Ken Shamrock fought Rich Franklin. I don't think the UFC comes out and directly tells them to do this, but it seems they are rewarded when they do. Look at Elvis. He won his 1st fight in the UFC against Jeremy Horn. Then he goes on and loses what, 7 fights in a row? The UFC normally seems to cut a guy after they lose a couple in a row, yet he's still around, as though they are rewarding him for helping make names for the new guys.
