Full Version: How is DCP to manage VAT?

Hi. I am interested in trying DCP, but I am wondering what the thoughts are about it targeting visceral adipose tissue (VAT)?

In the past I have taken Ab-Solved by Avant (no longer in production), and Lean Xtreme by Designer Supplements.

Any and all thoughs on this matter will be greatly appreciated. I am planning my upcoming cut. Thanks.

Well, VAT is constantly taking up and releasing FFA's. TTA and RK will help drain FFA's from the blood stream, and DGAT will inhibit their re-absorption. Couple that with the fact that DCP is relatively non-stimulating (and thus won't jack up stress), and, well, there you.

DCP coupled with Ab-Solved or LX would be pretty potent I would think.

VERY Basically, TTA is a PPAR agonist, which frees fatty acids to be metabolized. TTA has side two side effects - one good, one not so good.

Not so good is that a study shows TTA increases the activity of DGAT, which transfers acyl groups to glycerols, allowing fat to be redesposited. Salvia Miltiorrhiza inhibits this enzyme.

Good is the fact that TTA also increases the activity of Carnitine Palmitoyl Transferase, which carries fatty acids into the mitochondia to be burned. Propionyl-L-Carnitine (which has an affinity for the body's cells) readily exchanges itself for free carnitine. The Propionyl group is also cleaved and sent into the KREBS cycle (and is oxidized to succinate, I believe.) The increased activity also increases oxidation of pyruvate. Potassium Pyruvate is chosen to provide potassium, to help with cramping sometimes seen with TTA usage.

Raspberry Ketones are included because they are potent thermogenics...and we were able to include an effective dose without having to increase to 3 capsules.

Upon reading this, am I the only one who does not have, say, the utmost confidence that the company marketing this supplement actually knows how it or the human body's fat loss process works?

Oh oh! Thanks Loki. cool.gif

What would be your best recommendation for managing VAT? I'm 5' 9", 185-190 lbs, workout for strength... Lift weights 3 - 5 days / week, currently bulking (went from 160 to almost 190 in 2 years) and ride the stationary bike 1 - 2 times / week for 32 min each at heartrate = 114-130 (I'm 46 yrs old)...

Thanks Kimbo,

Is Ab-Solved still available? What is LX? Lipoderm? Thanks again.

Ab-Solved is no longer available. Avant should be selling its Matrix Abs carrier again soon, so you can home brew your own.

LX is Lean Xtreme.

Lipoderm-Y and Lipoderm Ultra are still available, but if your issue is VAT then these wouldn't be ideal.

Loki, you'll have to forgive us commoners, as your elite squadron have slowly moved on to conquering their own destinies and don't visit much here anymore.

Can you drop some science on us as to your take on the ingredient profile of this product?

Bump for this question.
Ras
It's not so much the profile as it is the putative reasoning beyond substance X producing effect Y via pathway Z.

Yes Loki,

If you get a chance, could you please let me know what you think about my above post / question?

Thanks in advance.
