We are asking for 5 testers to verify the initial results that in-house testing has confirmed.
RPN has a new approach to stretch mark and scar treatment:
Java Lather
Java lather represents the latest in gourmet skincare. Formulated using only the finest ingredients effective at treating dry skin, helping to treat scars, prevent stretch marks, sun-damage, and other signs of aging. Java lather is a thick, Luxurious lathering soap that moisturizes and helps to keep skin soft and supple. Java Lather’s sensual scent of coffee, latte, honey, and almonds will help to wake you up in the morning or relax you in the evening.
Java Lather…Deserve the Bar.
Ingredients: Olive Oil, Goat's Milk, Shea Butter, 100% Arabica Coffee, SesaThin brand sesamin, Cissus Quadrangularis, with latte, honey, and almond scents.
For all testers, this product IS ARRIVING at Nutraplanet tomorrow. All testers will receive a bar with their next Nutraplanet order (sorry, I can't afford to eat shipping and product cost on this one right now). Testers are asked to take pictures before and after using the bar.
Now, I am also noticing an amplification in tanning depth after starting to use the soap, but I am going to do a bit more research on this before I add any claims.

What is Boat's milk? Is that what you get after a long day at sea..squeezed between the cushions, among the salt, fish scales, suntan lotion and other fluids?

PS. Great job with the soap. Probably the best "nutrient enhanced" soap on the market.
Much appreciated.
In the end, I love this industry and I never stop thinking about ways to enhance quality of life and appearance, not to mention functionality. There is always risk that something won't be appreciated after sinking a ton of cash into a new development...but this one we are highly confident of.

there is definitely some positive feedback. I have personally used the soap (and one of the main reasons I developed it) for some massive scarring on my arms. I find it extremely effective on keloid scars and stretch marks.
Still very early in this product's life.
FYI...the original bars were around 3 ounces each. The new process yields minimum a 4 ounce bar. This along with the switch to 50% cissus not only yields a more economical value, but a MUCH more potent product.
We are having to spin up massively to cover demand. Hardest thing is for a control freak like me to actually trust training the new production people and letting them handle it.

Thoughts:
- No dryness compared to the majority of other soaps I've used. Skin feels moisturised after showering.
- Lathers excellently.
- Great fragrance & exfoliates well.
- Seems to dissipate a bit too quickly for my liking (due to ease of lathering perhaps?). Bar lasted about 12 days.
- No difference in stretch marks after one bar, although I wasn't expecting much on this front to be honest.
- An extra bonus I've noticed is that Lipoderm-Ultra applies very easily after showering and is absorbed much quicker.
With a few minor tweaks (lose the grains, for example) and the addition of glycerin you could formulate a great shaving soap too.

I'm using it for that right now. The granules really aren't an issue. Works very well.
As for the bar, I haven't noticed much yet (currently on my second bar), but it does feel like it exfoliates well. I've tried using the bar directly on one shoulder vs. simply rubbing the lather over the other shoulder, and after drying myself off I can feel a difference with my hand - the side I used the bar directly on feels much smoother. On the down side, direct application of the bar uses it up that much faster.
What I've been doing lately is to use the bar directly on "problem areas" first (shoulders, lower back, face), then I'll spread the lather around to the rest of my body with my hands. Seems to help conserve the bar a little.

I have to say that like #5 and Kim my experience is the same...I really like the smell, the lather and the smoothness I don't even need lotion for the dryer parts.
Haven't noticed much on the stretch marks but plan on using it for several months and checking results.

I got my tester bar three days ago.
So far I think the KP on my arms is improving and the skin feels much smoother although I wouldn't say softer (by which I mean I don't find it to be moisturizing. Neutral at best).
I like the grit but the distribution of it could use some work I wore through a layer of almost solid grit the first day I used it, but there was almost none in what I rubbed off today.
It seems to be wearing away rather quickly. I don't know what these things cost. If cheap then this wouldn't be an issue.
So far I think its rather promising.
I'll update when I have something more to note or when I'm finished with the bar.

+1 on the distribution of grit. One of the bars I got earlier on had all of the grit on one side. The bar I just started using doesn't have much grit at all, unless all the grit is in the middle or something. Also, the color of the last two bars I got from you are different - they're a little lighter. Did the formulation change, or could that be due to the heat (it was 100 outside yesterday)?
Still a great product IMHO, just mentioning a few things I noticed.

Tonights shower featured lots of grit. I must say, I really like the grit. I wish there was even more. I assume that its getting added when the stuff is thin enough that its sinking or something.
I've also noticed that the soap is very concentrated. Even though the bar is dissolving rather quickly I'm pretty sure if I just lathered up my hands alone I could spread the suds to almost my whole body.
So what I'm wondering is if it doesn't need some bulk added to it so that users aren't using too much at once and waisting it. This of course would dilute the actives rubbed in per shower but it may still work.
I'm thinking it would be interesting to do a batch with some oatmeal added to it.

Funny that you would say that...I made the new Acne Control bar with ground oatmeal and flax meal....figured out that I can completely saturate the bar with this blend, and it comes out like a Wash Cloth in bar form....VERY pleasant to use.
Should be going into beta testing soon.
Any ideas for catchy name? Terry Cloth Bar?

Not sure
I can't remember for sure what it was, but one of the old posters used to swear by something for clearing up her skin. I think it was herbal guggul extract.

Aug 9 2007, 08:34 PM
You are correct with the grit, though the design was to provide maximum exfoliation at the beginning of the bar , with decreasing action as the bar got towards the middle.
Too much exfoliation can be irritating as well, but we are looking at a procedure to cool the soap a little more before moulding, to get a slight more consistent dispensation of granules.

It would be interesting to see if a soap-free acne bar with sesamin, boswellin, possibly guggul, a mixture of alpha and beta-hydroxy acids, and some other skin-friendly nutrients (ALA, some form of C, gamma tocopherol, selenium, GSE, etc.) would work well!
