mine wasnt as lucky.
i discovered it had leaked out 3/4 of all the liquid out onto the drawer sad.gif
after cleaning it up and removinf the label i discovered 3 tiny holes at various heights. probably where the liquid poured out.
bottle is 1 1/2 years old, in a drawer, dark and cosy and didnt get moved around.
any ideas what cause these holes in the tin?
right next to it was a bottle of super absolved and that one was pretty much unaffected by anything....

Ok, so I guess I'm not the only one who's had this problem. I set my brand new bottle of LipoU on my desk when I left for the morning (yes, I'm always very careful to make sure the nozzle is in the 'closed' position and that there is no dripping), only to come home and find a ring of liquid around the base of the bottle -- a ring that unfortunately ate right through the finish of my desk mad.gif

I've replicated this under a few different conditions (cool, dark closet, etc.), only to have it happen every time. I noticed the distinctive transdermal smell before I even removed the plastic wrapper from the bottle, so I'm guessing my problem is the same as djremix's (though I've yet to remove the label). Please fix this. I'm really, really peeved about the ring this thing left on my desk.

Mine, even fully sealed, have done this.

Wow, very sorry about that. I don't think I've ever heard about this before- thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I'll get on this right away.

WTF

This happened to mine as well. My bottle was still in the shrink wrap as well, never been opened, but there was lipoderm everywhere. So, I opened it and had quite a mess to clean up.

So this stuff burns through the lipoderm bottles and eats through the plastic it's wrapped in...yet we voluntarily apply it to our skin. laugh.gif

If y'all wouldn't mind, give me a rough date as to when you bought your Lipoderms.

Mine is straight from the Avant online store, and I believe that I got it towards the end of April or beginning of May (this year).

Sorry, couldn't tell ya since I got it in a trade.

It always happens as the warm weather hits.

I think it makes the contents expand and blow the seal on some of the pumps.

I'm messing around with a couple things, to try to fix it.

It was when the AL store had the big sale. Sometime last year, can't remember exactly. The other ones I had did this too.

they've ALWAYS done this that I'm aware of.

It does eat plastic. My mouse has thin layers of plastic eaten away but that was secondary transfer from my hands. My leaks always occurred on a glass table thankfully.
