I want to try to have some weeks without any dairy and gluten. that said, diary and protein poders are mainstay for me. any of you use a Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free protein powder (NOT soy)
proteins will come from legums, tuna 4-5 times a week, meat, lean chicken, eggs. but I want the convinience of powders.
TP has hemp protein and gemma protein, anyone tried those?

Never tried them... but TP has always had some good service (and good products) so you could try emailing them and getting more info on the two

Hemp tastes really bad. Someone uses the....I think it is pea protein based stuff (?Jodi). I like brown rice protein. If you google it you'll find two brands, you want the one that is mostly protein (label is green..and black?). If you search brown rice protein on this board, I've posted the brand a few times.

Haven't tried it personally. Here's the thread in the supp. section about TP's new type. You might want to ask some of them specifics about the taste.

The gemma protein (from peas) tastes excellent if you go heavy on the sweetener and go with chocolate. Trueprotein. But you must go with chocolate or it will taste like ass.

Why not go with some Whey or Casein Protein Hydrolyzate? It should be much less allergenic compared to more intact protein.

There's always egg too. As far as absorption goes it's about half-way between whey and casein - takes about 4 hours.
Anyone happen to know how fast or slow hemp, rice or gemma proteins are absorbed?

There's always egg too.
I'd go this route. Egg has a decent BV, doesn't have much of its own flavor that needs to be covered and is easy to digest. I've actually been toying with giving
this stuff a try.
