Bump

Us rockclimbers love the stuff!
I thought about making it, until I realized how much magnesium carbonate dust I would have to breathe in. I bet it is just alcohol and magnesium.

I'll see what I can do for y'all

I've taken to using regular chalk in the gym, but miss the antimicrobial benefits of Liquid Chalk.
rpen22
How well does it work compared to real chalk? I've never tried it before, but I do love my chalk because I don't like wearing straps.
envythahustla
If y'all seriously want Liquid Chalk on NP, I'll e-mail Customizer to see what's up. I just don't want it to be available and then it doesn't sell any units.
envythahustla
If Dsade shows interest this will be a go.

great product for sure.

Back to topic, yeah,Liquid Chalk is some good shit.

I've heard a lot about gyms like that. I bet my gym is the same exact way. Damn commercial "fitness centers". mad.gif

I've been a big fan of Liquid Chalk since that first Mr. Olympia that we shared a booth with BSL.

Let me see what I can do.

I wonder what would happen if you combined Slick Pleasures with Liquid Chalk? Time/space continuum collapse?

XF is willing to bring it back if NP wants it. I already checked with Customizer and he is good with the idea. I don't know if someone wants to have sticky and slick hands if you have a Liquid Chalk/Slick Pleasures sale. Let me know what you want to do.

As long as you clean it up afterr you're done, you can get away with using it in no-chalk gyms. But if you walk away leaving a mess on the floor, then you're just an dumb inconsiderate dipshit.

I think they let me get away with it since I'm a model citizen when it comes to putting away weights (mine and others) and generally working to keep the gym tidy. For the law-abiding lifters at my gym though, I could see quite a few purchasing Liquid Chalk.

Ran across it over at EliteFTS.

Ummmm, what does chalk or liquid chalk do? This is my second full week with no gloves, so this is a whole new world to me. If it does anything for the extremely painful process of getting callouses, then I'm in.

Doesn't prevent pain, but it does keep your grip from slipping by keeping your hands dry.
envythahustla
I e-mailed Dsade yesterday to see if they will carry it again. For those who want NP to carry Liquid Chalk....flooding his PM box could help. smile.gif
chemgoddess1
Ok, for all of you users of liquid chalk. I have recently taken up pole dancing (please no shit comments, guys) and one of the big problems is slipping from the pole while doing spins or inverts. You want your hands to have a balanced amount of grip and slip. Do you think liquid chalk would help? Also, I am one who totally HATES the feel of regular chalk...is this different?

VERY different, and much more pleasant to use. Stays dry on your palms, without making a huge mess or getting under your fingernails.

I have a strange tactile aversion to certain things (Kleenex or cotton on dry skin) that sets me off, and chak is one of those. I remember using Liquid Chalk with great success.

BTW, emailed back, envy...let's get some prices rolling back and forth, and get this back on the site!

I love their write up........

Liquid Chalk

Liquid Chalk is the best way to use chalk w/o the mess. If you lift in a commerical gym that just doesn't "get it"; i.e. they don't understand your need to GFH, then liquid chalk is your answer. Dispense 6-8 sprays on your hands, rub together for a few seconds and you have all of the advantages of chalk with none of the mess. Each bottle is 60ml and will generally last about a month. Of course this is dependant on use.

Kimbo
I still like chalk better, but LC is a very close 2nd.

Check out S Factor. They are only one of hundreds that have been popping up all over the place. HUGE outside of the US. S Factor is big because the lady who started it has been on Oprah a bunch of times, plus a bunch of "well knowns" in H-Wood have done her classes. I am always looking for new and fun workouts and came across this. Kind of a mix between yoga, pilates and stripping. Need hella core and upper body strength. The first time I did the "workout" I hurt for 2 days. Does not look like much but definately I was missing something in my cardio and sculpting to make me hurt like that. Just got my pole up this past weekend and my tri's have been killing me (in a good way). I have been watching vids of competitions and cannot even imagine the strength some of these women have to be able to do some of the stunts. Definate change in flexibility, too. Can't even begin to express the "fun factor". (Oh, and 18+_10.png )

A second question...difference between Dry Hands and Liquid Chalk??

Wow classy.
chemgoddess1
I see that they are selling dry hands. Many studios have a strict no lotion within 24 hours rule because it leaves a residue on the pole. Wonder if that was the problem with the liquid chalk.

I posted this in the random you tube clip but it is so worth posting again. Jamilla. She grew up in the circus and is Miss Pole Australia (yes, they hold huge competitions). Toward the end of the video (about 3:07) is an amazing move. The upper body and core strength this woman has is freaking incredible. There are a TON of you tube videos of amateurs as well as pros.

I'm still waiting to hear back from Dsade about carrying this.

I watched the clip with my gf we both agreed that Jamilla is amazing. Its like she told gravity to f*** off. Even attempting this would probably dislocated my hands and give me a hernia. I would have a easier time tearing the pole out of the wall by hand then to do what she did. Props to you for taking this up.

Dsade! I want my liquid chalk!
