Sorry, I'm not familiar with the rest of the card. I'm pulling for Hughes, even though he's a dick and has no stand up game, I enjoy him as a champ. That said, I don't see him winning via LNP like he usually does. I'm rooting for Liddell, but he is too fat, lazy and stubborn to change his style. After watching his loss in person at The Pond, I simply don't see him taking this one. Machida bores me and Soko is one hell of a roll, I can't see Machida taking it. Melvin is amazing, even though his ground game seems weak. Check this highlight of him, reminds me of a Kevin Randleman. All he needs to do is slow it down some in the ring and think about what he's doing and he'll be Top 5 in no time.

On a second look, Melvin had a great fight with Roger Huerta, that the announcers in that Video Clip said Melvin clearly won, but however shows up as a NC on his record. I wonder what that was about. It says the judges overturned a decision for some reason. In any event, dudes the real deal.

Huerta petitioned the commission claiming that Melvin lubed the back of his legs. Melvin later admitted to it and they overturned the decision to an NC.

Goddamn is all I can say about Melvin. Guy runs into subs like kids to candyland.

It was nice seeing Chuck win, and Wandy is not done for by any means, just didnt have the best game plan against Chuck.

GS motherfuckin P! Hughes went out classy I thought, and GSP looked amazing. Not to mention pure class saying Serra is still the rightful champ.

Soko? Fuck I threw down 3 shots of SoCo at the beginning of Rd1 just for support. Damn Machida, but good performance.
Jon
nice to hear GSP tooled Hughes again.
I was disappointed to hear Liddell won. I was hoping to see Silva come into the UFC with a win. Oh well, Liddell needed it badly after his last 2 fights.
Guess I didn't do so hot with my picks.

Damn, missed this thread.

It was a damn good UFC, I thought.

GSP throttled Hughes again, no surprise there.

What's up with Wandy, though? He's just doesn't look right now. No classic Wandy knees, few combos, not much going on.

Poor gameplan on Wandy's part. I would rather have seen him just recklessly pursue and overwhelm Chuck even thoguh he probably would have been KOd. Even being there live I thought the fight was a bit boring. Wand probably should have used more leg kicks and force Chuck to pursue him. I don't think he could have done much in the clinch as Liddell could avoid that scenario. Hopefully they match Wand up with someone like Houston so they can just maul one another.
Rodja
The reason Wand wasn't Wand is that he didn't shave his head or wear Vale Tudo shorts. Wand needed to use his outside LK to set-up a LHK followed by a backfist or a right hook. When he did throw his kicks, they landed, so I don't know why he didn't continue this tactic.
