Ive been having some pain in the front area of my shoulders and one of my fellow trainers said that i have tendonitis. He said my shoulder area was "dangerously tight"..

What can I do to cure this and what should I NOT do?

Has anyone else had this affliction? Please help because I dont want ANY rotator cuff problems.

Take two weeks off of training entire upper body while performing at least three standard RC rehab exercises (google exercises) every day.I suggest using rubber rehab/exercise bands in lieu of 5-10 pound DB's.

I would also go heavy on ibuprofen,800mg 3-4x ED.

Picking up some cissus, celadrin and glucosamine and sesamin (via bulk/cheap form from NP or CNW) would be the other move to make.

I'd run the latter three at suggested dosages while 4 caps of 800mg bulk super cissus ED:

I have two thoroughly shafted shoulders and every day I regret not treating the problems when they originally maifested, all of therse are well researched treatments and it's in your best interest to *use everything available that works*.

Edit:
If you have access to steroids,I suggest running 20mg oxandrolone ED.There's a study on this board (taken from Pubmed,a search using my name would yield it) that shows var to be very nice on joint tissue, albeit after 6 months of treatment.

Arginine would probably be a good addition.

Yeah and FWIW,Tron was the absolute coolest shit ever when I was in grade school smile.gif

Next to Star Wars,that is.

ART i.e. active release technique and when things are fixed prehab exercises to prevent problems.

activerelease.net (I think, might be .com) for list of practitioners in your area. Magic stuff, but is and has to be very painful for rotator cuff work.

I'd use proteolytic enzymes (search my name for specific recommendations) for the acute flair up.

Do not take ibuoprofen long term if you value your kidneys.

This sounds like acute AC joint tightness. I am currently fixing this personally:

1) ART treatment
2) Chest, trap, shoulder stretches
3) Lifting relatively light
4) Icing PWO

Over about 4 weeks, i've used the above, and am now back at about 90% (load wise) that I was before. It's easy to assume everything is RC related, but it isn't always.

I think this guy has the answer to our problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAjIHzX8GVI The only thing is that I can't get this tendon to snap back into place using his technique. I'll probably have to pay a chiropractor to fix it for me.

i do an exercise called dislocates where you use a towel pvc pipe or broom handle start with hands wide(snatch grip) begin at the thighs keeping arms straight rotate over your head and as far back as you can. try for50 reps or do it in sets to reach 50. the key is to keep the arms as straight as possible throughout the movement, always trying to reach lower and lower on the back. start off easy and work up to where you can get to the middle of your back. then work on bringing your grip in more as you get more flexable. this is working wonders on my shoulders. i am also using cissus, microlactin and vitamin c to repair the damage. i got this exercise from the guy who does dogcrap training. my pain is deep in the socket to the rear part of both shoulders and it has reduced considerably in the past year or so. the damn bench is what did me in.
