Hey Custom

I have been researching fenugreek and am amazed at its myriad of effects. For example the fibers from the seeds slow and inhibit glucose absorption, helping keep a even blood sugar. This would be desirable for everyday insulin managment and prevention of fat gain from carbohydrates. However an extract of the seeds which also contains lots of 4-Hydroxyisoleucine will raise insulin and glucose, which would only be desirable in the post-exercise scenario. Although it supposedly increases insulin sensitivity. Fenugreek leaves also seem to have independent anti-diabetic properties. Fenugreek also has been purported to be used as a Galactogogue, by what mechanism is unclear. I found all this from pubmed abstracts.

You have Fenugreek caps on sale for buy 1 get 1 free. So are these caps of straight up fenugreek seed? Are they extracted to anything, 4-Hydroxyisoleucine, diosgenin or soluble fiber? I wanted to try them out but given the diverse effects of fenugreek I would like to know a little more about what you got.
Thanks
Zalian
I love fenugreek. It is one of my staple supplements. Most caps are just seed powder.
I get a lot out of the supplement, I love the pro-sexual effects of fenugreek, sex is just so much better when I use it.
I am intrigued by the phyto-sterol content as well. The patented extract Testofen appears to increase free testosterone and may actually bind to the androgen receptor. Other products have used the 25a-spirostan-3,5-diene that is found in fenugreek as a HTPA support supplement. I buy mine from HerbalCom for cheap and make my own extracts.
