Been meaning to post a little heads-up to y'all. I was at a nutraceutical trade show recently, and one of my favourite companies, Metagenics, has released a new diet aid made with potato protein, which has been shown to prolong satiety.
[post="http://www.metagenics.com/products/detail.asp?pid=593"]Here[/post] is the product I sampled. I tried just one, maybe it helped, not really sure? I'd like to get my hands on more but it's a professional line that's not easily available, certainly not retail.
An aside: at the same show I also found a pretty kick-ass whole food based multivitamin by Douglas Labs.

Thanks Gdawg - was working before... anyway so there ya have it, potatoes have protein, who'da thunk it? I believe each of those Metagenics chews has 15 calories for what that's worth.

Jinx so it did seem to work as intended? Did it taste potatoey or like a chocolate (wishful thinking).

It is a chew as opposed to a gum right?
I wonder where you might be able to find some more.. let me know if you get any info please:)

Tasted good, chocolately not potatoey. Metagenics is available in the US, through some MDs, NDs and DCs. I've seen their products on Ebay. I'd have to use the stuff longer to say whether it was effective though. I believe you need to take one about 30 minutes before a meal/snack.
