So a week ago I entered a short cut eating IF'ing keto-style and refeeding once a week. Started taking sesamin on friday the 8th 2x daily. Yesterday I started having really oily stool, which has never happened before. I'm talking dark brown drops of oil in the bowl sort of oily and of course loose stool. Every crap during the week was standard low carb: really really difficult but regular.

Having read about this at AM and seeing D_sade comment that he noticed the same thing, I'm curious to see if anyone else has noticed this rather interesting side effect. ohmy.gif

I've got it too when i first started primaforce sesamin, but it went away. I figured i was taking too much (6-8ml a day). However, the taste has varied significantly between bottles.

They must be laced with Orlistat.

it's certainly nowhere near as good as AL's sesamin

That's the real killer, as I've used AL's sesathin before with no trouble. HOWEVER I didn't use it after becoming fat adapted like I am now.

I've stopped taking it and upped my fiber intake to see if it clears up in a few days.

Not to sidetrack the thread, but how do you feel on sesamin + low carbs? I'm half-dosing Sesathin right now (one serving at night) and so far no problems, but when I did normal dosing plus low carbs it really tanked me.

I was feeling fine, which was surprising. Then again, Hyperdrive could have been mitigating the lethargy, but there was nothing acute I noticed.

For those interested, the oiliness stopped a few days after I cut out the sesamin.

That said, I'm going to try including 1 dose/day rather than 2/day starting next week to see how things react.

I have chronic stomach problems and had no side effects from sesamin at normal dosing used in conjunction with fish oil.

I've used sesamin in the past in the form of AL's sesathin without drama, but as I noted, it wasn't on a high fat diet.

I forgot to respond to this, but I also get oily stools from Primaforce Sesamin. It only happens when I take it with a high fat meal, but you're not the only one.

I'll take it with my lowest fat meal then. Thanks for the feedback. smile.gif
