Yep...waking through Kroger's last night we saw a display for Grapples. Jiu-Jitsu lessons? NOPE....Grape Flavored Apples.
Ok, so we had to get a 4 pack ($3.99) and try them out. A tad soft for my tasting, but not as bad as an initial squeeze hinted at. I usually like my apples extremely crunchy. The flavor is odd, sort of like a mix of Apple and Grape juice. Subtle enough to be delicious...as long as you know what you have. If I were expecting an apple and took a big mouthful I would probably freak out.
I will probably buy these again, especially if the price comes down.

I saw these the other night too. Really odd. I didn't buy them but they did intrigue me. Are they a cross between an apple and something else, or are they just a particular variety of apple?
I like my apples crisp as well.

Pretty sure it is just an odd variety of apple bred for taste.
I can add, since I had one not long ago, that the satiating properties are pretty good. VERY satisfying for both sweet cravings and thirst.

Yea, I bought these last year and when I got home on the back of the container it said that...at that moment I felt like there was someone in the room pointing and laughing at me
