So I got my package today! Of course I had to pop the top off an take a smell.....right from the bottle it smells just like Flawless (kind of butterscotchy/carmeley). Headed off to the tanning salon to try the stuff out. I got "before" pictures yesterday morning after my shower so I will get those up soon. Also, the last time I tanned was last Saturday (2/16). I typically use a 20 minute bed and last week did 18 minutes... I dropped it down to 15 today since I had not been there in a week.

The stuff is a pretty good consistency, not too thin so that it pours out of the bottle when you tip it and not too thick to give you the farting sound (you know what I am talking about!!). Once I started rubbing it in the first thing I noticed was the change in smell...is that the Napalm?? It is a menthol-y/eucalyptus-y/some sort of -OH group odor. Next came the "tingle". Now I have never used a tingle lotion before so this caught me off guard. Add dry skin into the mix and my legs felt like I had been playing with fiberglass. There was definately a cooling effect but I will assume that it was from the -OH group that I was smelling. I decided NOT to use it on my face plus I was real careful not to get it all over my chest (burning nipples did not sound like fun). Then I though...HOLY CRAP! This had better not make my chest any smaller!! (seriously, this thought crossed my mind, then I though about how funny I might look with everything darker than my chest....hmmmm).

Got into the bed and turned it on. The menthol-y odor lasted about the first 7 minutes of my tan (but hey, it cleared out my sinuses!). The "tingle" was pretty much gone before I got to the bed (my butt was still a little "tingley"). At one point during the tan my heart raced for about 15 seconds then was gone. When I got out I noticed that my face was quite flushed and stayed that way for about 15 minutes after I left. The lingering odor is a strange mix....there is the sweet javalique odor and then an underlying medicinal smell....I can't quite pinpoint that odor but I know I have smelled it before.

I got to the point that I could not stand the smell any longer so I took a shower about 2 hours after my application. I did not work out this evening either, which would be normal for me. I am going to try to tan, then work out then shower for the rest of my trial. The scent is still embedded in my hands even after showering, not so much on the rest of my body.

My stats:
39 y/o, 5'8", 153lbs, ~24%BF with my midsection being my "problem" area. I eat decent but by no means am I on a strict diet.

Daily supps:
4 pumps Sesathin with evening meal (~5mL)
2 Leviathan twice a day, typically 7-8 am and 2-3 pm
2 DCP three times a day, dosed with Leviathan and then last 2 anywhere between 6-9 pm
3 tsp magnesium citrate (natural calm) at bedtime
benadryl/chlorpheniramine maleate as needed for allergies
just started cyclobenzaprine nightly for a TMJ problem

I do not have a typical workout. I do exercise normally 5 days out of the week. I mix cardio (turbo jam), toning (cardio with 5 lb weights), abs, yoga/pilates, and pole work (yes, you read that right...look at my profile!). Every Sunday I walk in the woods with my dogs for about an hour plus I work in a lab and am constantly on my feet. Every Friday I bowl at lunchtime. I am your typical 30-something female who is fighting the curve balls that the 30's throw at you. I lost 20 lbs about 2 years ago and put about 5 of it back on since I quit smoking. I am not so concerned about my weight as I am about cutting out some of my midsection (dropping BF). The rest of my body I am pretty pleased with (and it just keeps getting better).

I will take pictures tomorrow morning and then try to get them posted before the weekend is up. I probably will not tan again until Monday evening.

It certainly was tough tweaking the scent combination to at least passably cover the napalm.

In for the log...thanks for running this.

Yes the smell is very strong, sometimes good, sometimes Napalmy!

Be sure you shake well...VERY well.

I did especially since it was out in the cold all afternoon (gotta love living in NE Ohio!!).

I have never smelled Naplam before but after reading about it I assumed that was what I was smelling. One thing that I just noticed while typing is that my wedding ring is loose, which is never the case at this time of the evening.

I will be posting pictures this evening. The ones I took Saturday had different lighting (10 am vs 7am for the others) so it is difficult to gauge.

Did 17 in a 20 minute bed last night. The tingle was not as pronounced as it was the first time so I think it may have just been dry skin. I am concerned though because I started a rash on the backs of my thighs but it is gone today. I tanned, worked out then showered so the lotion was on me only about 2.5 hours. I have noticed that even after showering the java scent is still "in" my skin. At least the organic odor is gone. I will probably tan Wednesday and Friday just because we are going out Saturday night and I hate wearing pantyhose.

Notes from the second application: Still the same sweet then funky smell. The menthol-y odor while tanning was not as noticable but I also used the fan this session. I am not drifting off to sleep while tanning (which I usually do). Are all of the ingredients acrylic safe? I have noticed a rough residue left on the bed after tanning (I am nice enough to wipe up my sweat) but it seems like it can be wiped off with some pressure. It also seemed like I got a lot of color last night.

The formula is tanning bed safe, yes.

The fan does help dissipate the menthol, I find...but when it's cold out I turn the fans off and bake myself. I can't stand getting back out again...come ON Spring.

The bed was already warm which helped, which on Friday it was not. I also HATE being the first person of the day at the salon....wanna talk about cold!

I am also in NE Ohio, wonderful weather today isn't it?

Oh yeah...especially after that crispy frozen rain on top of fluffy snow...now add another layer of fluffyish/wet snow.

My front yard looks and feels like a Kit-Kat bar.

We have just been getting snow snow and more snow, but at least it was about 32 today so the roads have been clear. It also helps that Obama and Hillary are going to be in town tonight.

So I have to find out why camera is not consistantly exposing my photos (all taken about the same time with the same settings). I had to edit them so that the exposures were at least somewhat the same.

The product:

Pictures taken Thursday morning, Monday morning and this morning.

In addition to some good color, I am seeing a BIG change in your abs - especially what appears to be a drastic change in both waist circumference and upper ab definition.

"Ab"-solutley, Im actually blown away by how quick these results are. "BRILLIANT".

Chem, looking great!

I have olive skin and really can only tan in a bed, natural sunlight does pretty much nothing for me. My husband even commented on the darkness of my stomach. I typically tan once or twice a week unless we are going out, then I try 3-4 times.

I guess I could be worse for a "pushing 40" year old. I will say that pole work has definately helped my abs and upper body. The thing I noticed was the definition in my shoulders/back.

I will probably do another round of caliper measurements Saturday morning. The last time I checked was 2/12 and I was just a hair under 25%.

That is pretty dramatic improvement, in shor time.

chemgoddess, how many hrs per week do you exercise, if you don't mind my asking? (cardio, lifting, walking, etc.)

I try for an hour a day usually about 5 days a week. I do not lift weights but do more toning/cardio type stuff (3-5lb weights). I mix it up quite a bit. Friday I took off, Saturday did a 25 minute "fat burning" video with Cindy Whitmarsh (I have Exercise TV on demand which is just GREAT) and then 20 minutes of yoga type stretches, Sunday was my morning walk in the woods with the dogs (45 minutes in 10 degree weather) and then we went roller skating in the afternoon (2 hours), Monday 25 minute KBC (Kick/Booty/Core) then 20 minute yoga stretches, last night was 20 minutes yoga-ish moves and about 15 minutes of pole work. About the only thing that I do consistantly is pole work, and that is probably about 3 days a week. I also work in a lab so I don't have secretary spread issues.

I know I could probably see greater results doing weights but I just get bored real easy. I have seen some changes just in the last 4 months but I just have extremely stubborn fat around my stomach/abs. I also have a bikini scar that runs just under my "pooch" which abruptly cuts it off and makes it appear larger (most taper down to the hair line).
Par Deus

Wow, that is very impressive.

As the others have said, the increased tightness/defintion in your midsection is quite noticeable, and you just look sleeker overall.

Tkarrde
Yeah, you def. do

So this morning I am a hapy camper! I have been unable to break about 153 for at least 6 months. This time last year I was at 146-148 so I know I can get there. Weighed in at 151 (I know, weight isn't everything but it is not like I am lacking in the body fat department). The only thing that has changed is adding Atomic Meltdown. Pictures are Thursday and then this morning. Also got a full body shot...as you can see I am all legs. I also got the exposure settings worked out with my camera.

D Sade
MUCH easier to tell how truly dramatic your results are.

Seriously, the feedback is rolling in and this is by far WAY more effective than we anticipated. Kudos to Caleb and Avant for a HUGE part of this by putting out a top notch topical that I was able to build on.
ShakesAllDay
Chem... VERY nice results thus far.

I have not abandoned this, just have not tanned since last week. Ended up with some sort of bug after losing my voice and have spent the last couple of days home. Today is the first day that I have a voice and that I think I may actually be able to work out. I do have pics that I took Saturday morning I just have not downloaded them from my camera yet.

Crap, I just saw your pics, amazing work!

I think I have the same bug...my voice is shot.

I am barely fighting this off from going full blown (I think that Gut Health IS helping.)
