What makes a great supplement retailer in your eyes? Features, services, people, colors anything. I find that asking your customers, you will only get an honest answer. Plus I cant loose anything without asking. With our push for 08', we want to give our customers a better experience then they already get. Please be honest. Thank you.

Decent shipping times. Some places ship orders out the day they are placed. Other places seem to wait a few days before your shipment is even packaged. This doesn't matter much when you plan ahead. But, knowing that if I order something and it will arrive at my doorstep in a couple days is a BIG psychological boost when it comes to making the buy.
A professional, easy to navigate website is crucial.
And, free goodies (samples, etc.) are always a nice little easter egg to hope for.

Thanks Shakes! Do you find our site dark, confusing and difficult to navigate? (I do)
In this thread I want all the flaws, so keep'm comin'.

Things I look for in a supp site:
Fast shipping
Fast response to inquiries (e-mails)
Easy to navigate site
Ability to sort products based on what's new, alphabetical, type, etc.
One-stop shopping (I hate going to 2-3 sites to get all of my supps)
Monthly specials
Stack deals
Some things I've noticed about your site that it could use:
Proper product descriptions, ingredients lists, etc.
Extract % on CNW products
Links back to individual products on stack deals (look at your Omega-T and banaba stack for example)

I think Kimbo has it wrapped up. Good posting. The only other thing I could think of are unique and new products. Like something you have but others don't.

You have 13 Now Foods products (some way random) and 6 Primaforce products. Is that because you haven't been able to put up the whole catalog or is that what you have decided to carry?

Also, what's that nonsense about having to pay separate shipping for each product in one order?

We have a large customer in Canada that orders those NOW foods. But as more NOW gets in they will be added. And the primaforce, well we have been holding off on adding our entire database due to time, because our new site will be ready by end of March/April with all the trimmings you want.

Yeah I know, some orders come out of a different warehouse so the shipping is added. This will be eliminated as well, with the new site.

Yes, unique stuff is great. We have a few on the horizon. Specifically anti-ox's.

Great post.
i go to cnw for the hard to find extracts that i can't get anywhere else. but the first thing i check is new products then sales then clearence then stacks.
i go in knowing pretty much what i want all ready but just like grocery shopping if theirs a good deal to be had i stock up. the sale clearence and stacks are impulse buying stuff i don't really need at the moment but just jump on.
when i first started buying supps on line and not knowing a whole lot i went to bb and they got that space in the top corner were it links other products that work well with what your looking at. links like that would work great eg soakt could link to bEAT, dhea, androsterone etc.
more stacks would be cool like a staple stack multi, fish oil, anti ox, joint stack, etc
if a produt is out of stock it would be nice to know before adding it to the cart

Actually those are great ideas. Having links to "related" products would be a huge help Im sure. I dont know if I can get that feature set up this round, but definetly soon.

Regarding the site, ditch the layout idea that it needs to fit in 800 pixels of width. It should be a fluid design (meaning it automatically scales to the size of the browser window). You want to use a much real estate as possible. The weird grey background isn't doing you any favors. The more stuff you can fit in the viewing area while keeping an intuitive design, the better the experience, the more stuff people will see that they may not have, the more they'll buy.

I generally spend (way too much) on new bulk products that tend to work. I have no regrets - I am in good shape (34 yrs <10% bf 5,11" 200..210lb) and I look about 5 years younger than I should. I would attribute some part of this (aging and body comp) to supplements. They also help with mental effectiveness and mood which are very important in my carreer and life.
Anyway, enough of infomercial/ego blitzing for now.
Quality/Effective products and price the most important factors for my choice in store. Most of the items that I buy are included in other products at low doeses for much higher prices (androsterone, corosolic acid, powerFull, b-triol Yellow Gold, forsalean etc). I generally do not spend more than $1/day on any one supp, but I take a lot of them (I usually mix togeher powders to save time. (b-triol and androstrerone are difficult at this price point so I've been using them transdermally, but it is inconvieniant)
The places I shop most often are Custum and Nutraplanet. I occasionally go to resellers of theirs if the sales are better. 1-Fast (or whatever it is called now) is irritating, but I go there if they are the only ones carrying what I want.
