Syntha-6
By BSN
http://www.megasupplements.net/en/2065/syn...r-2-91-lbs.html

This is a nice high quality protein blend. It contains whey; casein and milk protein so there is a sustained release of protein entering the body.
I have chronic stomach problems. Therefore, I have to be very careful about what I put into my body. I was extremely nervous before trying this the first time. I was positive I would be in the bathroom soon after.
I made the mochaccino. It mixed very easily in a shaker cup. Furthermore, It was delicious. I mixed two servings of Syntha-6 with 8 ounces of 1-% milk and 8 ounces of water. The protein shake was creamy and satisfying. I looked forward to finishing it.
After drinking it I felt a little full and had to digest. However, I had no stomach problems whatsoever, after consuming it. It was satisfying and delicious. I will be buying this product at some point. Rating is 10/10.

COOKIES and CREAM

I am not a fan of vanilla-based protein products. However, this product was surprisingly satisfying. It was creamy and left no after taste unlike most vanilla products. I would recommend this product as well. Once again, I suffered no ill effects from this product and my stomach was fine.
Rodja
The vanilla is awesome in smoothies.

Decent price. How is it in milk?

I mixed two servings with 8 ounces of 1% milk and 8 ounces of water.

$8/lb is decent?

We are in a recession, you know.

Syntha 6 is worth every penny IMO. That is a really cheap price compared to some places you will find it at.

Sorry - I meant to ask how it is in just water without milk.

I do not know. I am lactose intolerant, however, i add lactaid milk to most of my protein shakes, for extra protein and for the sake of flavoring. Obviously for flavors such as lemon, fruit punch and some others I only use water, no milk.

Chocolate Milk Shake
The chocolate is good too. I mixed two servings with 8 ounces of milk and 8 ounces of water. It came out nice and creamy. I'm sipping it as a pre-workout meal and I must say it is tasty. However, I am still partial to the mochaccino. Out of all these flavors, I will definately be ordering more of the mochaccino flavor. It is delicious.

I have 21 of these bad boys stocked up in samples packs. They are delicious..but I won't be using them.

Why not?

I don't like concentrate blends/I have a ridiculous amount of protein.

They really are some of the best tasting powders around though.

Why does it suprise people that a "protein poweder" with a lot of carbs and fat (compared to what we are used to) tastes good. If your lean its okay, but i have a feeling most people here are more concerned with weight loss than weight gain.

I'm the opposite, I need to put on weight. It is just for me, if I am going to put a powder in my body, I prefer an isolate.
JBarna
Rockhard what do you recommend for fat loss? I love the 6 esters of protein in syntha 6, but your right, it is high in fat and carbs. so whats my alternative as and endomorph who struggles with fat loss?
captainbicept
I too only use WPI for almost everything. However, two servings of syntha-6 is great for in between meals.
I have to disagree that most people on here are trying to lose weight. I think if a pole was taken you would find plenty of ecto's and hard gainers like myself.
The combination of healthy fats, carbs, a mix of of fast and slow digesting proteins is great to drink in between meals for someone looking to put on size.

I like San infusion because it really fills me up and tastes descent. Of course, its one of the more expensive powders out there. Syntha 6 is good and i had 3 scoops in 14-16 ounces when i first tried it and was shocked that i had just ingested over 600 calories. It did taste good though, but dont be fooled by that efa bs. Canola oil, or whatever they use now, should not be considered a source of efa.

up 2.0 is another taste good product but mixes up quite thin and doesnt give much satiety. I also dont like have that much fat in 1 serving.

I agree, but you're not even going to use them? Not only could you use those samples and not notice any difference, but you could probably switch to concentrate and it would make not a damn difference to your body comp. Now granted, I wouldn't personally switch, but 20 samples are not going to make any difference and it's still a good quality product, especially since you don't have anything to worry about wrt fat gain.

good points Heather. I'm a bit OCD about quality though, i feel like I'm shorting myself when I use something with the lower BV. I also have a history of IBS and Ulcerative Colitis which I failed to mention.

how do you know this unless the brosefs at BSN actually divulge the ratio of their blend? The answer is you cannot.

Looks like casein, MPI and egg are at the tail end of their proprietary blend. It appears to be mostly whey.
