Full Version: vasodilation from plant protein

hey all,

in a bid to cut, and to try something new, i've decreased my intake of animal products (less meat, and no dairy) and have been eating a largely plant based diet for the last 10 days.

i'm not preaching a vegetarian diet, just wanted to share a few observations:

1) My pumps are better than I've ever experienced (but I've never used NO products..)
2) I am sleeping better

The pumps intrigued me, so I did some checking:

Plant food has a much higher arginine:lysine ratio, in general, than flesh and dairy (especially dairy). Arginine and lysine apparently compete for the same cell shelf space.

Not saying this is good or bad, but it feels cool!

I noticed something similar while taking a "greens product." It was chaulk full of the nutritious part of different veggies and fruits. Let's just say that I found it very good for blood flow to the "member." No kidding.

if you're eating plant food, it's probably the nitrates

Plants also tend to contain a lot more carbs....are your macros still the same or did you replace the protein from the meats and dairy with carbs from the plants?
