How come at 300mcg the effect of me being hot wore off, and i started to feel cold again. This is my big question and have been searching for over 2 weeks to find the answer to this and no one knows why, some people on the thyroid forums cant even tolarate 50mcg as they start getting hyper, i just dont get any of that, even on this dose and only feel slightly warmer, i was hoping someone on here would know?

I have 2 different T3 liquid bottles from 2 different research websites that are legit sources so i doubt they are underdosed.

Im seeing an endo in 2 weeks, as the docter does not have a clue, i want to go in to see the endo with some info to help us out, figure what and why this happening.

You're taking three times what is considered to be the high end dose to begin with and of course this will have a detrimental effect on thyroid function.

I'd drop the T3 immediately and get some 7-OH or transdermal 7-keto (preferably the latter) to start repairing the damage done.Bacopa has also been shown to regulate thyroid function so that would be helpful too.

I agree with Colin, thought tapering the T3 slowly may prevent massive bodycomp changes from a depressed metabolism....but talk to the endo for sure.

Situations like this are why The Man is always trying to save us from ourselves.

To hazard a few guesses:

Extensive shutdown of endogenous thyroid hormone output

Massive upregulation of the deiodinases that deactivate thyroid hormones (T4->T3->rT3->T2)

To top it off "feeling" hot or cold is a really shitty way to take a WAG that your body temperature is hot or cold, especially when fucking with your endocrine environment. What is your body temperature reading? Thermometers are cheap.

When i was at 300mcg T3 im sure my output of thyroid hormone was nil.

I have a feeling its my adrenal glands, cortisol is needed to drive T3 into cells, this is the only explanation i have been given that would make sense, my adrenals were stressed already and i then stressed them further by giving my body T3 so over time i was killing my adrenal glands causing less and less cortisol to be secreted.

T3 lowers T4 production which in turn lowers rT3, one of the reasons why i took T3, to lower rt3 which occurs during dieting and stressful events, rt3 blocks T3 in simple terms. Except when i started T3 i was 98.4 then my slow metabolism and body temperture started to decrease back to square one over the course of the month i was on T3, this concludes this is not the case.

HGH increases t4-t3 conversion....but I dont know that will help...your t4 and tsh are prob. nil too.

Keep us posted....I do not know if you have, but an endo may be a good idea.....or a test of the t3 you were taking, if it was a bunk product that may explain it. But if you go see an endo or at least get a lab test done you will know where you stand without the t3 bunk or not.

Then I would go from there.
