Seems to encourage bone foirming cells to grow from precursors rather than adipocytes.

What we were saying earlier, was an idea that control over stem cell 'partitioning' may be causing certain diseases, such as too many fat cells, and thus conditions like obesity might be caused not just by cell size buit also number, and that barious nutrient deficienies and excesses (what I termed 'nutrient asymmetry' is the cause of this faulty precursor direction, and also caused cancer. Obesity wass also likened in that idea to a kind of all-body cancer triggered by various factors and exacerbated by inflammation, whilst in others such faulty differentiation control would cause immune dissorders, all with this common factor making things worse..

This is far from concluding that, but it adds to the debate. Vitamin K is effecting stem cell differentiation in a mannor similar to Vitamin D3.
