Some pretty sick mag. subscription deals I came across...especially the US Weekly one...if you are in to that sort of thing

Here's the goods:

DiscountMags.com has coupons for three popular magazines!

* US Weekly Magazine $5/year with code SLICKDEALS
* Outside Magazine $3/year with code SD-OUTSIDE
* ESPN Magazine $3/year with code SD-ESPN

I somehow pulled 6 subscriptions for $47 and I'm pretty damn happy about it. Just keep entering the codes at checkout (the ones that apply to your order obviously) Enjoy

Hmmm, continental US only? EDIT: BOOO, US only.

JD I hope you get enough time to read them all...sometimes mags just accumulate and I have to take an afternoon off to catch up..

I read when i do low intensity cardio and I find it makes time fly -- a huge treat given my disdain for cardio. Mags >> Newspaper as well, particularly on the elliptical.

Same here. They are a savior for morning cardio sessions as I'm almost finished watching all of HBO's Rome on my iPod. My roommate already has subs. to about 6 other mags. and I seem to find time to digest most of them. FWIW, I think Inc. magazine is the best small biz magazine out there.

And yes, I subbed to US Weekly, mostly because of the value play they offered, but I can't promise you I won't be looking at pictures of Brad Pitt grocery shopping....

Funny you mention the iPod, I bought a 80gb video for the purposes of watching shows/movies while doing cardio at the gym, but I am too lazy to convert them all (I may or may not be buying them from Apple).

On mags and motivation: I've read everything from Macleans to Inventors Digest, but I get notably more motivated by something like Maxim. Smoke show babes and my desire to sleep with as many similarly smoking woman as possible will do that.

The video conversion process to mp4 is both time consuming and a total pain in the ass. I used software called Videora (a free DL on download.com) which worked beautifully, but man is it a CPU hog. Pretty much rendered my PC useless while converting at a high or ultra high rate...best saved for bedtime with a queue. However, I just came across a site called zamzar.com which does FREE online conversion and then spits the file back to you. You can upload a file or give it a URL and pick from a laundry list of output formats (including mp4 for iPod/Apple products). I haven't tried it yet, but that's next up for whatever series I decide to get in to.

I bought a subscription to ESPN the mag through one of these offers a while back. Just an FYI, you won't see the first mag for 2-3 months. It is a good deal though. If nothing else, it is a big discount on the ESPN.com insider content.

Someone posted a message similar to this on this forum last year that had a bunch of mags for an absurdly cheap price. I went ahead and ordered several of them. Don't think I spent more than $10....but I never got jack shit. Actually forgot about it until now.

That happened to me too

was worried about that but they explicitly state a full refund guarantee PLUS your yearly subscription if mags are not delivered. I have order confirmation, so I guess I'll wait and see...

I've order from them before with no probs.. also ordered ESPN this time.
