I thought it might be beneficial to start a thread where we can post possible interactions that arent widely known. This can include all kinds of drugs, either through user-experiences or studies, or even theory on possible interactions. Im scared to try a lot of stacks just on the fact that the combinations havent really been studied, nor do I know enough to make my own assumptions on what might interact.

Kratom and Fibrates- A 600mg dose of Gemfibrozil and 4g's of Kratom gave me some intense muscle spams in my lower back, legs and groin. It also made me VERY tachycardic and hypertensive with some scary angina. Any idea's on why?

I'm no authority but, as to the mechanism behind drug interactions……….are they not mediated by CYP-450 isoenzymes?

Some drugs (and I suppose, xenobiotics) are inducers of CYP and others act as inhibitors.

If drug x is an inhibitor of a particular CYP enzyme and drug y needs that enzyme for clearance, dangerously high levels of drug y will be present in the body for too long a period.

I see that gemfibrozil is considered a strong inhibitor of cyp 2c8.

Once I used Cimitidine to potentiate some Kratom, and I was stoned for days it seemed, like in a fog.

Thanks for that. Before I used Kratom I read everything I could find, but those forums dont have the intelligence base that MM does. More "how can I get higher" posts.

Cool idea

Methylphenidate + ethanol = ethylphenidate through trans-esterfication in the liver (IIRC). More selective for DAT and longer acting.

Amphetamine + Psychedlics = less body load, more euphoric, more likely to feel like you have a rabid wolverine clawing at your brainstem. Having your flight-or-fight response triggered while tripping can be...interesting. I don't recommend it.

Amphetamine + -racetam's = Big fan, especially piracetam. Basically the 'good' effects of the AMP seem to be enhanced and the negatives reduced. Dosage may need to be lowered. (This might be a good thing in itself)

I know Clen doesn't play well with TTA. Infact I don't recall anything being more debilitating than that combo. Although Capz/LipoY comes close when its time to shower or hit the Spa

What about 2 drugs acting on GABA? Say xanax and phenibut?

As for bad interactions:
Any beta blocker w/ a stimulant (w/o an alpha blocker to go along with it)

2c-x research chemicals + stimulants = tachychardia. (Especially 2c-i)

Kratom + serotonin psychedelic = blunted psychedelia.

edit: I don't just mean a foggy trip because you're on a painkiller, I mean it will actually prevent/stop a trip from serotonin antagonism.

Does anyone have any theoretical interactions based on 2 or more drugs acting negativly on the same systems? Be it agonism/antagonism, potentiation, chemical changes in drugs when taken together, effects on liver enzymes that might inhibit metabolism of other compounds etc etc etc?

'drug-drug interaction' is a massive field/subject with numerous books, papers, and models spanning numerous mechanisms and chemotypes -- its not that conducive to a cursory discussion unless there are specific examples/questions. There are many resources available online, of course.

I know that its a huge field, I was just wanting to focus more on the more common supps that are mentioned on this board, like the common noots, recreational drugs etc.

I find that good information on a lot of combinations is impossible to come by any other way than anecdotal reports on sites like this. This thread definitely has potential as a resource.

Through what mechanism do the oral PH's cuase heart palpitations? What other drugs would be a no-no on orals as far as the heart is concerned?

I ran a short stint of Superdrol/PP with plenty of Redline and ECA. I got pulled over for having my stereo to loud, and I explained to the cop that the bass was coming from my chest...

Holy shit I have a good one for you guys. So I take 5mg of Deprenyl and 2g of piracetam per day. I smoke bud 3-4 times a week, I would say my tolerance is fairly good, I'm no heavy weight, but I can smoke. Anyhow I hadn't smoked for a few days, so my tolerance was down, and I had forgotten my Dep/Pir that morning. Maybe 8 hours into the day I had to head out for a long drive and a late night of work so I took my meds, a decent sized bong shack, and headed out.

I get on the freeway and precede to freak out. Very similar to the speedy freak outs I've had on Mushrooms. I had to pull off and grab some smokes, I didn't know what to do. My heart was racing, I was terrified to drive (it was rush hour), terrified to have to speak to anyone, terrified period. Basically it just plain sucked. The smokes helped, but jeez, I won't make that mistake twice

One hit of dope does that to me. I used to be fine, and then one day it was weed=freakout.

I smoked like a month ago for the first time in a year, and my luck there was a double murder two houses down that night, so the cops wanted to talk to everyone. Fuck me.

It did the same to me for a while there too, but more recently it's been treating me rather well which I contribute to the Noot's. Mixing at the same time tho...Another story entirely

Could it be that Dep's dopamine component makes you more apt to experience axiety whilst stoned?

I think a more a combo of all three really. Although I did give my girl some Piracetam once right before she smoked, and she had a hell of a time. She can take a shack straight to the dome, but she said that night was especially intense...

An interesting interaction I've got a few times is when I've mixed about 1g of ALCAR and 1g of Alpha-GPC, it's given me a very frantic, jumpy, rush feeling that lasted about an hour. The effects seem comparable to that of an extra large dose of caffeine, which is to say it's more distracting and annoying than fun. I don't think it's happened every time I've taken those together, so I'm not sure what really causes it.
