Hey Guys. What do you know about Spray Dried Beef Plasma? A couple of companies have started selling this stuff to bodybuilders. One of them is TrueProtein and the other is AAEFX' Liquid Beef Aminos. There is a company that is processing this for them in powder form but I can't think of the name of it.
I know this has been used in the growing stages of cattle, swine, and broilers.
The company that manufactures this for human consumption claims it becomes a more complete protien when mixed with Whey.
Anyone have any research on this stuff?
Thanks.

why not just use whey then? it's a complete protein on its own, is cheap, and isn't disgusting.

o rly. i bet it's awesome because they can get it cheap as dirt. why don't they just bring back digested collagen, mix in some whey to make it "more complete", add a ton of sugar to it, and sell it as a bulking energy drink.

i don't know what the actual price is, i just know that nothing tends to get wasted from the slaughterhouse. like say collagen that twinlabs was selling as liquid aminos. maybe OK for strengthening your nails, but shit for bodybuilding. so let's take another beef byproduct, filter out the red cells so you don't poison people with iron, and then add a decent protein to make it more complete? if your source isn't cheap as dirt, then it should be. if you have to make something "more complete" that means something. it means it's "not complete".
but i tell you what, science me. pubmed me. change my mind.

immunolin is only deficient in one amino acid and it's far from inexpensive, even for proliant to produce. check it out for yourself www.proliantinc.com

with a name like immunolin, it doesn't sound like it's intended as a bodybuilding product. i guess it's not going to make me huge.

LOL well you have a point for the bro minded bb'ers, they would never consider the fact that you make much better gains with a healthy digestive tract and immune system, that's much more boring than jakking your muscle fibras with another pump product

I see no SDBP for sale at True Protein... perhaps tha original poster meant Protein Factory instead?
Fwiw, I've used both Immunolin and Protein Serum.

I was thinking of getting some Nutragammax. Does it have the same glutathione potentiating properties as good whey? I assume it has no lactoferrin.

this is assuming there is a problem to begin with. Not to mention that IL-6 agonism (which I'm going to assume will result from a TNF-alpha agonism or as you would call it "immune system enhancement") is going to upregulated estro receptors and myostatin as well. Doesn't sound conducive to bbing feats. Either way if you can provide more than anecdotle bull shit to the argument by all means I'd love to listen. AFAIK data backing this product for bbing purposes is nonexistant.
brotellegence is the only backing this crap has.

Took me a minute to decipher this, but I'm sorry your genius was passed over Eclypz. I laughed hard! And I'm completely awestruck by the fact that no one has used the title of this thread for an awesome mansauce pun post.

Yes, the company I saw that carried it was Proteinfactory not trueprotein. Sorry for the confusion. I've been using the EEAFX LBA's now for about 1-2 years. I've gained muscle over that time, but I always felt like my gains were better when I mixed this with whey or casein.
This stuff isn't cheap and as was mentioned there certainly isn't any scientific data relating to bb'ers on here.
What do you guys think about the data supporting the growth factors claimed in this stuff? Also the studies done on Porcine(Pig)?

Yes, mixing with another source (whey/ casein) is best IMO.
