I'm looking for someone who has experience in both, the more the better. I'm currently reading around, but I wouldn't mind some MM'rs opinions. I have always found Dex to be excellent for watching movies, long hikes at night, trippin' balls with or without music, and mixed with opiates. Anyhow many people have told me K and DXM are nothing alike, however from all my reading, that doesn't seem to be true. I know this is one of those things that require me to actually do K, but while I'm looking I sure wouldn't mind hearing some people weigh in on this. The things I muse over while on the company dime...

a 100mg IM dose of K renders one incapable of movement, that is the only way to do it in my opinion. It lasts about 1 hr, and after 90 min you feel great.
I hear about people using K in clubs and "partying" and it sounds like a dangerous waste of a very internal drug.

100mg IM is a kaleidescopic cartoon ride through your psyche.

DXM sucks IMO. No comparison. DXM lacks any euphoric component. K is mildly euphoric while tripping, however the afterglow is positively fabulous. Very effective anti-depressant.

I agree, it does leave you feeling quite happy afterwards and there is no comedown. Although I've never done enough to leave me incapable of moving, why would you want to just sit there? In my opinion its better to be able to walk around and feel the euphoria in your step. Everything looks and feels so backwards so its fun to explore in the short time it lasts.

I hear the IM wagon rolling through every thread, who knows, but I'll cross that road when I come to it.

Dex has put me in holes, spun me around the world, I've def traveled. I've been to the point where moving wasn't happening as well, and I've found adding a little opiate of bud makes the Dex trip that much better. But K does indeed seem far superior, and DXM just isn't going to work for me anymore. I like the aspect that it may prove quite introspective, and the research concerning depression is certainly of interest to me.

How is smoking on it? Cigs or MJ?

Lots of good info there about it. K has many introspective capabilities to it, walking around on mind expanding drugs you kinda lose all of that. I know you hate the idea of a K-hole, but I've been reading all day and there really is no mention of the horrors you have expounded to me in that respect. Not to mention I wonder how you could be so f-d, considering it only lasts an hour or so.

k-holes are good if your the type of person that likes having no control. If you do like having control, then stay away from K. My last k-hole, I thought i was going to die and did not care. After that, i stopped it permanently.

I've had that face to face with death on Dex, it was scary, but no where near mushroom freak out scary. I rather like going for that mental ride, the only thing that would worry me is being paralized and feeling ill. That is ZERO fun. But a completely CEV trip is one of my favorite ways to travel

I, too, quit using DXM when the gastro-problems and inability to work out hard the next day began to outweigh the buzz. Only used a handful of times (5-6) over 3 years though.

I've done 300mg+ doses probably around 100 times. It used to be my groups "hey there ain't shit to do tonight, let's dex" drug. It treated me well, no hangovers of any kind, so I kept eatin' that shit up, taking peoples "dex virginity" as I coined it and went from there. More recently it just doesn't really kick the way it used to so I don't use it more than once every month or two. I'm hoping K can fill that hole in my drug use where I travel the cosmos

Make sure your cough syrup does not also contain guaifenesin which is a fairly reliable emetic in high doses.

DXM, is hallucinogenic, right? Well so, it acts as an agonist to the 5ht2 receptors and it has a low affinity to 5ht3 (vomiting) and 5ht4 (diarrhea) receptors in the gut. Shrooms, on some people have that effect.

It's a dissociative, and yes it can cause some nausea. I would recommend Robitussin cough gels, there are no other ingredients in those pills. I have only seen maybe 2 out of 20-30 people ever puke the whole time. Maybe 3 or 4 puke, but that was due to mixing with alcohol usually. The most common is puking once or twice, then feeling fine and trippin balls. I have read some people lack the enzyme to process DXM and trip way harder and longer. I think I've seen a few cases of that, so its one more thing to keep in mind. Check out Erowid.org and read up about it if you like

Done DXM many a times. LOL the first time i did it was with my friends, they all wanted to take a walk (i wasn't feeling shit, trying so hard to too, but nothing) so I said alright. Then FIVE hours after taking them I was like fuck this everyone is tripping and i'm not i'm heading back. So i headed back. I got back to my dorm room and as soon as i stuck my key in the door boom it hit me like a brick wall. I was like holy shit, grabbed my towel and got in the shower, it was great.

It has always taken quite a while to kick in, i dose at 800mg, but once took 1000 sum and fuck i got the itchies HAHAHHA that was by far the worst. I had heard about them but didn't really believe in them. SO i started scratching my leg, arm and eventually moved around my body to my scalp and i was like dude my scalp is itching bad and to fuck with me he told me he put itching powder in my shampoo. people tend to have short tempers on DXM so i got all pissed and he told me that he was joking. But it wouldn't go away and it got worse, so i was like oh fuck man i gotta fix this so i ran to the shower and was standing there hoping the water would take care of it. But I knew the itchies were all in my head and there was nothign i could do about it, I don't know if I was tripping my self out but I couldn't stop it so I had to go to sleep. Sucked.

But have never done K so I can't comment, though I did enjoy DXM. I used to take tripple C's ALOT and then foundout that they were horrible for you and quit.

Holy God this is why you don't do drugs.

both are very different,
both are enjoyable at low doses in public as they are somewhat stimulatory at those doses along with greater music appreciation

dxm takes a long time when using the liquid, while K rarely lasts over 1 hour unless you seriously bumped way too much, at that point your stuck with electrifying sensations for a couple of hours

k is cool to take with E, weed, selegeline, coke etc xanax will counteract all effects though
dxm is dangerous to take with or even a day after mdma, its cool with weed, cancells most coke
selegiline on the other hand sends you into a huge euphoric body high but as most will tell you is dangerous to combine with certain individuals

on the trip itself, both drugs help you in working out certain issues you cant decide on, but on the whole with the right setting and friends id dxm is more enjoyable and the next day after initial 30 minutes hangover you feel superb

the only thing proven to plunge you back into the mdma headspace without more pills is a nice hit of k and weed(mixed sativa/indica)

i would love to talk to someone who tried jimson weed, as far as i know that is the king of dissociatives/deleriums
