Share experiences/reactions to GABA drugs and nootropics. Share preferences when it comes to gaba drugs along with how they it affected youre behavior. Also when you prefer to use them, along with side effects.
Personally i find alcohol to be fun and it helps with shyness and opening up, and i never get hangovers no matter how much i drink (have had a lot of experience with alcohol). Also i dont get impaired easily (such as stumbling, bad decisions, slow reflexes) Alcohol seems to give a stimulating effect and i have used it in the morning to get going. I dont see any anti-depressent effects from alcohol and have never used it when im feeling down and depressed.
However others such as phenibut and xanax at a low dose seems to make me drowsy very easily and put me to sleep, and i dont get the same opening up socially effect. What makes alcohol much more of a party substance rather than xanax and others?

Alchohol puts me to sleep along with any GABA related substance. Unless combined with a stimulant, I tend to stay away from alcohol (or any GABAergic for that matter.)

Im typically a Type A personality so a little GABAerg is nice now and then. Makes me feel relaxed and great.
Unfortunately, this system develops rapid, rapid tolerance. Anything non alcoholic that Ive come across develops a tolerance in a few days. ie Phenibut. But, that first hit of Phenibut after a long while, oh baby. Flyin high.

I had a good first experience with phen, but after the first dose...nada. Also, how can I "utilize" xanax to get more out of it. I feel zilch at 1mg, but fall asleep and cant wakeup. I dont get a sense of calm at all. Just normal ol' me, but tired as fuck(same with all benzos actually)
As far as booze goes, I have had sex with some of the most repulsive women on earth while drunk (most were women), and turn into a stand-up comedian who says fuck too much. People like me when im drunk...Ive actually been invited to parties on the condition that get drunk, make jokes, and dont fight. However, most of my jokes are directed at the "audience" and fighting insues. Ive basically cut out alcohol to prevent the eventual lewd & lacivous charges that I know would follow if I kept drinking.

I have been wondering if Gaba supplementation for someone who really enjoys Xanax would provide any kind of mental/mood boost. My gf loves her bars more than anything, naturally I've always mused about what noot's might be beneficial. Perhaps she can weigh in.

This describes my experience with benzos well. After experimenting with four or five of them, I failed to see a use for them recreationally. To get any practical benefit from them (reduced social anxiety), I had to use a dose so high that I was useless.

Benzos knock me out as well, I don't understand how my girl parties on them. I've found an opiate, benzo and lots of liquor and splifs mix well... Benzo's and DXM mix well if that's your kick. Tramadol and Xanax mix nicely since Trama is a bit of an upper.
Anyone have any thoughts on noot's that might suit a benzo friendly phenotype?

How about a dose so low?
Small dose = passed out
Smaller dose = not passed out?
No?

Sometimes I "Nibble" a 1/2 or 1/3 of a .5mg off a bar, basically out of boredom and mild anxiety. However, I can barely tell that ive taken anything. Most ive ever taken is 1mg, and not knowing then that xanax isnt very lethal, I had anxiety thinking about an OD. (although I do that with every drug)

I was prescribed 0.25mg tablets and instructed to take 1-2 when I felt anxious. One provided no relief from anxiety, and made me a little drowsy. Two provided barely noticeable relief, but my eyelids became heavy (not good when giving presentations to large groups at the office). Any more, and I'm out like a light. Before crashing out, though, I would get really pissy and short tempered. Somewhat paradoxical.
I'm fine with being a poor responder to benzos. I have a bit of an addictive personality, and I've heard more than a few horror stories with this class of drugs. I fare much better using low dose opioids as anxiolytics every so often.

For me, phenibut and alcohol has been the best recreational combo I have come across. However, the dosing and timing has to be perfected - when it is, I get just the right amount of inhibition, euphoria and stimulation. Hard to explain, but it is really special. Other perks include only having to drink 4-5 drinks all night for the right buzz - which again means the hangover will be non-existent. The afterglow from phenibut will actually make the next day quite pleasant. As I got addicting to phenibut and had a terrible time with the withdrawal, I only do this once every two weeks. It would probably be safe doing it every weekend, but I prefer staying on the safe side.

I've been doing phenibut for about two months now and am very pleased with it. The main reason I got some was for it's reputation in killing anxiety. I have been suffering from excessive anxiety all my life now and also have insomnia which relates to it. Though it was not successful in completely dulling the anxiety (even at 2-4 grams) I found it to be exceptionally helpful in everyday life. It also has anti-depressive properties and the thing that most impressed me was that it reduced my mental chatter to almost zero. When it's time for bed I no longer have to go through hours of staring at the ceiling. Nope, now i'm gone within 5min.
After experimenting with the doses, i've found the right dose to be 400mg taken once a day. It is as they say, less = more, at least for phenibut in my experience. You have to be very careful with that shit or it will stab you in the back. For some reason, it reminds me of modafinil in terms of wakefulness but I can't say i've noticed any kind of nootropic benefit. I've also combined it with theanine but it feels very strange and I don't like the feeling, can't really put my finger on it.

Dude, taking phenibut daily might be a terrible idea. Not only will the effect wear off quite rapidly due to increased tolerance, but the withdrawal is often pure hell. I slept a total of four-five hours in three days when coming off daily use of phenibut, and was nearly in tears the rest of the day (no shit!). I remember thinking if this goes on, I will have to commit myself to an mentalinstituion.

Forgot to mention I use a 4/3 days on/off schedule to deal with the tolerance. So far I have not experienced any kind of withdrawal yet but i'll keep your advice in mind, thanks. Looking from your experience it must have been hell but for now i'm going to continue this experiment and see how it goes.
