Pretty much, you'd probably also have a better posture so your shoulders don't just cave in when your squished in a car. But if width isn't the main goal and shoulder definition is a major concern then upright rows and side lateral raises would be more important.
As for this scapula spacing, maybe deadlifts shrugs and various rows would help this department anyways? But IMO this is a posture effect that could cause the illusion of wider scapula? All I know is Tron can easily put on 30 lbs of muscle, and if width is his goal that will get him there.
