So earlier in my Sociology class, we were discussing drug abuse. Most people had their own little stories about whoever they knew that died from an (insert drug) OD. Of course, no one besides me admits to using occasionaly, and sometimes for performance enhancing purposes.

Not being able to be outdone, the class douchebag (5'10 240lbs, fat, drives a riceburner, hits on all the ugly chicks, talks to damn much---you know him) says that since him and his freind are SERIOUS weightlifters, they sometimes use PED's. He told us how he ran a cycle for a year and a half, but he wouldnt reccomend it because it messed up his back from lifting SOOO MUCH WEIGHT!!!

He then said his current favorite PED is Vicodin. His boys and him pop a couple, then hit the weights. Why you ask? Because then they cant feel the burn from working out, and they can do 100's of reps, non stop.

Im usually a rather restrained individual, but I let him have it. What followed was a bunch of name-calling, cursing, and I think I even spotted a tear in fatboy's eye. I asked the teacher to let me roll with this, and asked him to explain to the class what steroids he used, his PCT, and his diet. After not wanting to give us info on that, I asked him to explain the biology of muscular action and why Vicodin would be an asset.

The "duh" look was all I got back. He response was that he dosent know all that, all he knows is that he (get this) worksout twice a day, everyday, because thats what it takes to be a professional power-lifter...

I laughed and simply said "wow".

So many people try to get attention by spouting bullshit, and as long as it's about a topic the audience doesn't understand, no one ever gets called out. Sounds like this d-bag probably is a repeat offender, and deserved to get publicly humiliated.

Anyway, I'm off to smoke some PCP and then max out my squat.
Jakeshorts
kudos Drag. it would be absolutely hysterical if you can get your next altercation with this twit on tape. Even audio. I've sure the tention in the room was incredible! That shit gets me pumped up.
Proton Soup
what are his bench, squat, and deadlift numbers?
dragula
I doubt he knows what a deadlift is.

There is a 'staff nutritionist' where I work and she sends out occasional nutritional 'tips' via email....I literally have to get up and leave my office until the urge to respond with a vicious email pointing out how wrong she is (complete with references) passes....nobody needs supplemental protein...enjoy healthy snacks like rice cakes and bagels and only skim milk for anyone over six...

"Professional powerlifter"? Uh, yeah. Sure.

I almost always resist doing this. I am so glad when someone does it. Ah, vicarious vindication.

I know how this feels. One day at work people started getting angry because they couldn't, wouldn't believe me that corn is not a vegetable until the head engineer came in laughed at them and told them it was indeed a cereal gain. Corn flakes made from vegetables ha.

Today I heard that wild rice is a great health food because it is low in fat, for this reason it is also good for diabetics.

Aye, too often and you're holier than thou, but just enough and it's heroic.

On vicodin.....ROFL!

Fat asses like that give rational strength athletes a bad name....

Not that he's an athlete but you get my point.

The lady in GNC asked me one time if I was taking an amino supplement because, "if you don't take aminos with your protein then then protein will just end up in the toilet unused"

I couldn't quite decide if she was just that stupid or if I looked like a sucker to her

God, this reminds me of an argument I had with a friend of mine... I tried telling him that protein was made up of amino acids, and he was absolutely convinced that they were two different things. Then he went on to tell me how lean and strong he'd gotten from drinking 12 raw eggs a day (as he patted his gut, mind you).

My nutrition class is filled with some grade A tards.

We were talking about GERD one day, the prof said something along the lines of "So say you eat that cheeseburger...acid comes back up." About 5 mins later this girl raises her hand and asks, "So does that GERD thing only happen with cheeseburgers?" I let out a barely audible 'pff', nobody else in the class did a thing.

Earlier in the year another kid asked if it was true that "you only need to eat 10-11 bites of food at each meal"

Ummm....seriously, why don't you respond to her with references? You would be helping her help others...
Bachovas
I've done that before to professors and others personalities and 9 out of 10 times their answer is:
"You can find studies for anything."

Too bad they never come back with any, though.

Breaking the cognitive dissonance that will sure follow may not be an easy nor fun task. Analogy would be the people who can't believe corn is a grain.

On the other hand she could be receptive, and not take offence.
