I KNOW it's possible for me to recomp. If not, I want to at least retain my muscle while on an aggressive cut. I'm not the type who just turns to supps for solutions without trying to perfect diet and exercise so I think I've got that in order for the most part... anyway, I figured some creatine would help retain the muscle or possibly help me gain just a little. So I got Cellmass and Syntha 6 only because it was on sale @ work today. I got them both for a little over $50 including tax and stuff. What do you guys think of this stuff? How should I take it? I also take Apex Anabolic Xtreme post workout and about a teaspoon of glutamine.

seriously what?

just not the type of question I expected to see here. Creatine is good idea while cutting, although I think other brands with certain additions would be more beneficial...any will probably do. Syntha 6 is just protein, it doesn't have the best ingredient profile, but it tastes good, and its good enough.

They type of protein powder and creatine you use is really a very, very, small piece of the puzzle.

I know you are asking about supplementation and like Rod said...it is really a very small piece of the overall puzzle. May I suggest you switch up your workout to the famed Marc McDougal "Lose Fat Like You Are On Crack"? My diet was less than stellar but my training was excellent. I lost 8 lbs. of BF and gained 2 lbs. of lean mass in the first month. You can find it on mindandmuscle.net or just Google it. It's so money.

If it'll get me the beautiful babies, I'm down for it. lol.

Well you guys are abso-fucking-lutely right when you say that supps are just a small piece of the puzzle. I'll check out MacDoogies thingy.. I'm an easy gainer so I'm thinking that as far as diet, a big caloric deficit with a refeed of maintenance calories every 3 or 4 days and HEAVY ASS lifting would do the trick.. what do you guys think?

do you really need reassurance on this one? tongue.gif
if you do MacDougal's routine, you may not need such a large deficit.

You don't even need a huge deficit on this program. Let the ass kicking of the HIIT do most of its magic. Plus, I think you are going to limit any possible gains while cutting if you stray too far under maintenance. Be prepared to be humbled by the drops in poundage on lifts when you run through it the first few times!

Sounds money... what if someone wanted to tweak it more muscle gain and less fat loss?

this routine is about as good as it gets. It is the closest thing to the miracle you are looking for.

If you want to gain max muscle/strength. You most likely won't lose fat while doing so...so just let that go.

Didnt you say you were like 155lbs? Forget losing the fat now. Id go on a year long bulk, (with training and diet down pat) and then go agressive on a cut after your say 185-190, or more. (since your an easy gainer/meso).
