It's not a new drug. It's an old tricyclic that's been rehashed for insomnia.

Well yeah and it would be nice to have a "healthier" alternative to spanking my GABA system ED.

Currently on 100 mg of Lyrica + Valerian plus Melatonin. Gets the job done alright I guess.

why not up the dose of lyrica?

or even something like trazodone, remeron

Trazodone gives me massive hangover and not that great effect on sleep. It works well for some people but even 50 mg equals next day zombie for me.

Kind of leery of upping the Lyrica, dose escalation is the pathway to addiction IME. Perhaps 200 mg isnīt too bad ?

That being said Lyrica is excellent for staying asleep.

ive taken 300mgs for a month, and a little higher at some points and was forced to stop cold turkey as my prescription ran out on vacation and they wouldnt accept the script i had. i maybe had a little more anxiety, but im anxious anyway, but no serious effects and i didnt feel like i was addicted.

100mgs isnt even the minimum dose, i think your being a little to conservative as 150mgs is the usual starting dose and its not unheard of to see dosages of 450-600mgs for anxiety issues, not to mention neuropathy.

i highly doubt 200mgs is going to lead to an addiction as most of the literature on the drug show little to no discontinuation syndrome/withdrawl and if your worried just slowly wean from the drug( recomended anyway). I found lyrica great for sleep quality.

other options that are non addictive are serzone, remeron but the sides seem outweigh the benefits imo.
