Ive been taking a slew of shit for adrenal fatigue for the past few months. Well, after having to go see a new doc for TRT and him requesting I stop all treatments for 7 days Ive noticed.... I feel better?? And... even with less than usual sleep and higher than usual stress??? dry.gif

I used to be sleeping 8 hrs and eating crazy healthy before, too. Last weekend I went WAY under daily caloric intake and ate shitty foods, all that.

I stopped adrenal and vitamin shit last Wed.
Thursday I was sick as shit. Still have sniffles (Monday) but got over most of it by Friday.
Friday woke up at 3:30AM and drove 7 hours to MANHATTAN and went to bed around 11PM (with Times Square shining in my hotel room window throwing my circadian rhythms off).
Ran around Manhattan trying to find an apt for the summer til Sunday.
Got up 7AM Sunday and drove back and stayed up til 3AM doing homework.
Got 6.5 hrs rest and here I am. Still with sniffles.

...but Ill be damned if my thinking doesnt feel sharper NOW than the past 2 months of treatment, getting right, etc.

Supplements I WAS taking as of last Wed:
IsoCort (4x morning, 3x lunch)
Fish Oil (2000mg morning, 1000mg lunch)
5000mg Time Release Vit C
Centrum Performance
Quantum Adrenal Complex - adaptogen complex
Reset AD
Vit B Complex (100mg morning, 50mg lunch)

Supplements I WAS taking AND ONLY take now:
Ritalin LA 15mg
Some crazy veggie pill I take (dont eat vegetables.. I know, I know, horrible for health. thats another post)

And I feel mentally sharper right now (and last night at 3am) than I have for a long while.

Anyone see any correlation here?

maybe lower dopamine since you stopped vitamin c, reset ad.... so youre acetylcholine/focus is better?
i found i was less productive and zombie like after too much dopamine
just a guess

I'm gonna say it was the B complex, just from personal exp.

I get very strange thoughts from >25mg of riboflavin. B6 does me trouble aswell.

Vitamin-C does lower cortisol. Why itīs included in the typical Adrenal Fatigue thread is beyond me.

If your cortisol production is compromised wouldnīt it be wise to abstain from supps that can lower it further ?

Also high dose vit-c reportedly can make you go hypoglycemic so it may very well be the offender in your stack.

Lots of other stuff in your stack though so hard to tell.

(man people are gonna bash me on the vitamin-C )

I thought Vit C supported adrenal function (although, yes, I just came across some info saying it suppresses cortisol... doh).

I see equally as much information saying adrenals use Vit C almost like its their primary source of fuel.

Damn.

Im interested in the hypoglycemic angle of this. Ive always suspected my 'sugar system' (whatever) sucks in some way. Luckily, Im getting a some insulin testing done soon so Ill have more insight into that, soon.

Yeah I know it sounds weird, but 200mg of riboflavin gets me acting like a tard. Not to mention the smell is horrific.

Reread the post Frang

Yeah ok, my bad. New theory: novelty of move / stress of finding new place to live. Makes evolutionary sense to be on heightened alert and have increased arousal in a new environment where you are trying to find shelter to better identify threats.

Yeah. I was thinking the same. The more clearer thinking has come AFTER coming back and starting on my homework and being surprisingly sharp on it. What Im thinking is that the lack of sleep and shitty everything has put my body in a 'WTF IS GOING ON... I WAS SLEEPING AND EATING FINE YESTERDAY' state and this is the result. Trying to find a new rock to hide under and new fish to eat. Something. Im betting by Wed or Thurs Im gonna crash. Ill be sure to update if I do.
